No, that is not true. Jon earns songwriting, mechanical, and performance royalties regardless of who owns the publishing rights.

The songwriter, recording artist, publisher, and record label all make money off the sale of a recording. And in terms of ownership, the publisher(s) own the rights to a song. Bon Jovi Publishing owns a portion of the rights to every song on Fahrenheit.

Also anyone here know why the Bounce album was also least played? Yeah it is inspired by 9/11 attack but the album still got a great audible in Everyday and a great love song in YHMFH. Some of the songs also require less range too.

It's pure speculation, but Bounce had significantly underperformed commercially, when expectations were based on the success of Crush and IML. In particular, Everyday was the song that Jon mentioned in a Q&A 2011 "is not a hit song", so I think that has to do with very little presence.

Although I do agree that some of these songs are good options to add as "rarities" given Jon's voice and, to some extent, he's already done it - Undivided and YHMFH have both been played a few times. Open All Night also sounded great in 2010 when Jon had decent pipes to pull it off.

Agreed. Both Open all Night and You Had Me From Hello both started getting performed semi-regularly long long long after the album came out. It feels like the album just never happened based on nothing from it making the greatest hits. Misunderstood got VERY good airplay here in Canada.

Everyday certainly got more airplay than In & Out Of Love, and that one's on the Greatest Hits album.

The one track Jon mentioned when asked why nothing from Bounce was on the GH was Misunderstood, btw. ("that album just didn't contain any of our greatest hits I guess. Wait, was Misunderstood on that one? Oh well"; something to that effect) And that IS a great song - easily the best of the (video) singles.

7800 is better than anything released by the band in the last 20 years.

I think Crush and Bounce are better than 7800 and for me King Of The Mountain is the best song from 7800.
