A little bit strange as they always close this kind of festivals... Enviado de meu SM-M305M usando o Tapatalk |
Agreed. Definitely an eclectic line up.

So BJ has more time than the others (35min) unless there's some kind of break in the middle. Enviado de meu SM-M305M usando o Tapatalk |
Oh good eye yes they do.

Can you imagine if Sambora appears on this Usher's perfomance as in the AMA's?? Hahaha

Limitless sounds so much better live without the overproduction |
Posted this in the album thread but seeing him perform the first 3 songs just standing there barely moving was kinda awkward.
Especially after Usher’s performance. |

Jon is barely even looking to the others in the band, no interactions, and those fake screams doesn't help either. Enviado de meu SM-M305M usando o Tapatalk |

All of them even Everett seem glued to their spots. Tico is the most animated. I definitely liked Limitless the best.

Those backing vocals in Prayer don't sound pre-recorded.
|
I've heard Phil waaaay more than I ever do at a show. I like it.

And I think this prayer is more faster. Enviado de meu SM-M305M usando o Tapatalk |

I noticed that Jon's vocals sounded, mostly, good, aside from that he looked like a statue and didn't move a muscle.
Those were pre-recorded vocals, right? |
Most likely sang live and later touched up his vocals for the "live premiere".

Not sure if I missed this in another thread, but where was David?
|
I only watched Prayer, and it sounded extremely doctored.

Jon really want to attract the county audience again with 3 out of first 5 being country songs. Yeeehaaa

Two most important things to take from last night: Jon's vocals had undergone some post-production, but were the most bearable ones in the last 5 years or so.
But more importantly - Tico wearing glasses and still looking like an absolute badass! |
Those vocals are definitely doctored. I'm not sure about bearable though; LOAP was a shambles.

Without Tico this band are f.ucked. Jon still straining every time the songs requires some oomph. I only watched about 15 seconds from each song. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Not much energy from Jon. Actually a little surprised how bored he seemed considering this is a great marketing opportunity. The vocals the same old. Definetely doctored but still far from enjoyable. Limitless sounded pretty good in a live setting though. A little tougher which suits it.
Tico king as always. Also kudos to the keyboard player - he did his part well. Who was he?? |

If nothing else, Jon's mic technique is better in that he's gripping far lower down the stand if need to, and he's keeping up with the songs better. Tone is obviously still off, and if I'm honest the show was a touch dull. I enjoyed it once can't see me watching it again.

Started the iHeart 2012 performance right after the 2020 one. It’s pretty much the same songs but nothing is alike. Obviously there’s no audience now, I get that makes a difference. But in 2012 it was a rock band - dont really know what to call the performance from last night.
This is no news - it just hit hard seeing this back to back. If we only knew back then what was waiting around the corner.. |
Nice to see no black acoustic guitar on Lost Highway. JBJ is much better whitout it.
