Jon on Instagram

Someone tweeted Matt the link to an Instagram account and asked if it was real and if hell had frozen over. https://www.instagram.com/jonbonjovi/

Others responded and said was a verified account but that it has since been taken down.

Then Matt replied saying "It's getting colder in hell these days. Snowballs will be thrown soon"

So I guess Jon will be on Instagram soon.

Becky 10-11-2017 10:41 PM

Wow. That is surprising!

bjcrazycpa 10-12-2017 11:58 AM

Wow is my reaction too!!

Jon apparently said in one of the q&a things the other week that he is debating whether to get Instagram or not.

Wow indeed. (But it doesn't appear to have happened yet so my shock may be premature?:p)

Jon's tweets are just so dull at the moment. Nothing interesting at all, tweeting to Bette Midler and the Goldbergs. No actual thoughts on anything, no interaction. Really underwhelming

Eveline 10-20-2017 06:41 PM

Oh, I did check what Jon meant by Delores DeLago and I'd love to see that HAHA

Wow, bad enough you critize Jon on his music and performances, but now on social media, really?

I'm sorry, I'll be sure to bow down and kiss his feet in future. Grow up. They hype up this joining social media, everyday tweets and thoughts would be great. A few dull media tweets. No thanks. But enjoy the kool aid as ever Rosa.

And that tweet you posted was not even from his account

To be fair, he's only had an account for a few days. For a guy who's never touched social media in his life, I think it's reasonable enough to think he might need a few weeks to get used to the format.

Its not about kissing his feet as you say, its about just letting Jon be himself, he doesn't have tweet every time, and his tweets don't have to be spectacular long essays neither like other celebrities do, heck, even Richie doesn't tweet everyday, and normally his tweets are about promoting his music, maybe making a small comment about something, wishing someone a happy birthday, or giving condolescenes to someone who has passed away that was important in his life, or are you going to say his tweets are dull? or isn't only to Jon's tweets.

Rdkopper 10-21-2017 03:10 AM

Let Jon post when there is something to post about... Overexposure is the wrong route to take...

I don’t think he’s the kind of guy who would post pictures of his lunch. I thought the tweet to Bette Midler was pretty funny.

It's Great! new album/EP the next year?

rolo_tomachi 10-22-2017 03:24 PM

Now that we're in the Donald Trump era, it would be great to make a rock record with big guitars and Jon singing angry, sulky...

I know they recorded or composed a song called Rage of Angels, that would be a perfect title for the album.

Come on Jon, I know you can do great things yet.

Captain_jovi 10-22-2017 03:30 PM

Your obsession with that song title is so funny.

Becky 10-22-2017 05:01 PM

Who wants to listen to an album of songs about Donald Trump? Realistically, it would not stand the test of time. I cringe at the thought.

That song inspired by the LA riots sure held up well, though.

Because it’s not so specific that you think “LA Riots” when you hear it.

Alphavictim 10-22-2017 06:22 PM

Sure. But there's plenty of political songs that became classics. JBJ is just hamfisted in his delivery. But your evergrating criticism of political lyrics in rock music makes you come across as bitter & conservative.

Rdkopper 10-22-2017 06:35 PM

If Jon pulled a Bruce and got overly political with his songs and speeches, that would be the true end for me... These Liberals making excuses and blaming others for morbid crimes is a mindset I'll never understand... Happy Now is as close to the line as you can get for me...

I hate politics and extemists. I am neither liberal or conservative. I’m a moderate. I vote based on the candidate, not based on whether there is a D or R next to the name. And sometimes I go with the I because the two main candidates are both repulsive. Because I hate the hypocrisy of 99% of politicians, I don’t want to think about them when experiencing something that should bring joy or emotional connection like music.

Agree...What I don't like is the Media and Celebrities try to jam this liberal bullshit down our throats which is a for of communism...

Well, then forget about Trump and what goes on in the world, and channel that rage at not having got the Buffalo Bills. Whatever. Make a ****ing rock record with some claw.

That was my point, not politics.

jovifan93 10-22-2017 07:43 PM

Well, but anybody defending or still liking Trump or anything he does, doesn't seem to have a clear mindset. So, bring it on! I'd love some music to sing along to and swear about that st*pid m*therf*cker...

rolo_tomachi 10-22-2017 07:52 PM

Now that we know that Jon in the studio with Shanks writing and recording, when do you think it will be the next release?

It would be fantastic to have two different projects like Burning Bridges (2015) and THINFS (2016). It would be great if they released an EP next year, in the beginning of the tour, and in 2019 a new full album. I'm dreaming a little, I know.

You're married to a minister, though, aren't you? And you said you detest parties because "people suck". Certainly doesn't sound like you'd enjoy Raise Your Hands if it was to be released by a modern act.

The last song Desmond co-wrote with the band that was actually released was Army Of One. I wouldn't assume that just because the title sounds materialistic that the music is gonna follow suit.

nikos greece 10-22-2017 08:58 PM

i guess they started working on some songs/ideas... we all know how fast this can turn into an album with jon and shanks but for now i ll say he is taking it slow...
i also have this theory...jon has this new found fire about music after the sucesfull south american leg, he feels he is getting partially his voice back and then comes the hall of fame nomination...jon is a human, he is definetely pumped about this...(the first time bj got nominated jon called mcghee wrong spelling and asked him if he d sit in his table, he said of course but they wont let yoy in...) all i m trying to say this is a big deal for jon, a last frontier of approval, so if Bon Jovi do get in jon will know earlier and will have the wheels in motion in order to prove they are relevant, keep writing new music, touring etc etc, so jon maybe is trying to line these things up

Becky 10-22-2017 08:59 PM

I’m in a relationship with a minister, not married. People suck because I’m introverted and people drain me of energy.... and they like to talk about politics.

I can get behind Nikos’ theory. I do think Jon had a reignited passion for his art.

rolo_tomachi 10-22-2017 09:45 PM

I know it's strange, but despite everything I love Sambora, I'm eager to hear 'Jon and Shanks' next move with Bon Jovi. Now Shanks has a more general idea as a touring guitarist.

And I have another incognita: will this new album the true launch of Phil X as lead guitar in the studio?
