I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that based on the previous few sets of this tour, we're definitely gonna get a good surprise or two at this show. I'm thinking Always, I'd Die For You, Dry County, or something from THINFS that hasn't been played in ages like TDITT, Scars, or Labor of Love. Maybe if we're lucky we'll get something rarer like Love's the Only Rule, Diamond Ring, Living in Sin, Wild is the Wind, Radio, I Got the Girl, Thank You For Loving Me, or something off Bounce. I'd personally like to hear what TAALS would sound like in 2018, though I know there's almost as low a chance of Jon trying this one again as In and Out of Love.

I may actually try to catch the PBP this time.

bonjovi90 12-06-2018 07:41 PM

I definitely wouldn't like to hear how TAALS sounds in 2018 [emoji2]

Me neither

WhamATC 12-06-2018 08:54 PM

They are gonna play "Hey God/Dry County" combo, Always with ad-libs, TAALS and ITA in original half step, etc tonight, and all those songs will be in the beginning of set.

At the end we'll have a great version of IBTFY, LOAP, WDOA and Lost Highway/Whole Leaving.

Jon will also dance and move like never before and criticism will be pointed at them for writing "Too cheesy songs", etc.

From what I understood...

1. For JBJ, Lost Highway is "something a little more familiar" to opening a concert, I actually would say 'something that makes me gag...'
on the other hand, Bad Name is indeed "something a little more familiar" and A REAL HIT!!! just saying... -_-

2. Nice thing about to open a couple more Soul Kitchen's

3. "It takes a lot of Faith in Me" and "Others weren't strong and couldn't do that, anymore..." *cough*Alec and Richie*cough*

4. When he co-writes songs is him who comes with the idea and tell them what he needs and what they're doing.

5. "I don't even know if it (THINFS) was a number #1 record here or not!" same thing about the story I told you about Superman Tonight (The Circle) in Argentina 2010, but probably no ones remember again... smh lol

6. He doesn't play guitar on Wanted to change it without, changing it 'cause he's been playing the songs the same way for so long...

7. He felt LAST MAN Standing, yesterday and that was for him.

8. He jokes the tours are gonna go shorter and shorter and mentions "We're going on tour because we're playing in the biggest stadiums in the world"

9. The Moscow show "will be quite an event!"

Link doesn’t work for me :(
No questions about the new album in 2019?

Yeah. He said it'll be out probably next year and that he's written a few songs. Tico said he played a new song to them on the plane and it was incredible.

Hopefully they release a new single before the European leg starts.

I wonder if it was intended as shade or he was just venting his frustration.

symbeline 12-07-2018 01:32 PM

The part about Wanted... sigh

For me personally in 2015 when they released Teardrop to the Sea.

After thinking about it about it for a bit, I'm pretty positive that the feedback from this forum gets to Jon.

Think about it - they had 2 mediocre Japan gigs, and one really bad in Melbourne.

This forum exploded. So many people were unhappy with the setlist, Jon's performing etc.. And all of the sudden we get two completely different shows in Adelaide and Brisbane.

Here's the list of things addressed in literally 2 days:

1) Boring and predictable setlist, especially first part - almost completely revamped
2) WLOL - people really hated it - gone from the setlist
3) Adding some rarities or songs that haven't been played for some time - check (Cpt. Crash, Last Man standing, HAND)
4) Jon performance - he started moving around quite a lot, and the shows became enjoyable again even for stream viewers.

So for this show, I totally expect the trend to continue in a positive direction! Props to Jon for this!

As per this: http://www.bonjovi.com/review-epic-l...l-news-com-au/
and some tweets/retweets of Matt/David, they read "Bon Jovi Updates" twitter (I think they post news, not blatant feedback like here lol)
so the question would be, Do they read JoviTalk???
Who knows, but to me it would be all about, as you say, the things get to JBJ; after all... he is the one who got decisions to make about his/their setlists

WhamATC 12-07-2018 09:01 PM

I am not surprised at all if Jon has heard about this forum or read it atleast once.

Obie had an account here and was a bit active long ago.

Really? I've been here for ten years and don't recall Obie having been active on this board.

I may not have been posting here for as long, but I've been reading here pretty much since it's inception and have no memory of Obie ever having an account here either...

WhamATC 12-07-2018 10:35 PM

I haven't seen Obie here either but what I said was from other posts. I am sorry if my memory has it wrong about Obie.

DestinationJovi 12-07-2018 10:57 PM

Obie never posted here. Years ago there used to be an "Ask Obie" section on bonjovi.com that he used to post answers to.

Back when the official site had a forum, Jon posted a time or two. I can't remember if it was the regular public forum or the private one for only backstage members though.

That said I HIGHLY doubt he reads here.

WhamATC 12-07-2018 11:00 PM

Then that is probably what I mean. Not jovitalk then.

Savvi 12-08-2018 03:20 AM

I’m in Sydney! Quite excited for tonight. Wonder what has been soundchecked.

He used to read things on here because he'd complain to Backstagers about the negativity on this board. "We weren't the real fans yada yada". That's over 10 years ago though, back when Jovitalk and Bon Jovi fans were still funny.

That said, he did post here:

This is my 3rd show and the anticipation is building. Can't help but feel this may be the last time they come to Sydney, but knowing Jon he'll continue touring until he can't even talk.

I disagree.. Think about it your sat in hotel rooms for hours on end with nothing much to do.. You can't tell me that with his ego he does not search on the Internet about himself and what people think of the shows etc.

This is one of the biggest bon jovi forums around so I would say it's almost 100% that he at least once a month etc goes through the forum.. If not more

The support band are several songs in, despite not being scheduled to come on for another 5 mins. Hmmmm

Early start could = longer set [emoji106]

Possibly! Hope it's a good show

Since the support band came on early I suspect BJ may start a bit early as well. Here's hoping for 2 encores or an extra long single encore!
