Is Damned a good song?
Thats just it, is Damned a good song?
Personnally I don't like it but everyone else seems to, so whats your opinion? |
I like it, not as much as some seem to but I don't dislike it. I was pleasantly surprised to get it in dublin but that's not to say there weren't songs I'd have preferred... I sit on the fence :D
Good rock song that beats most of the more recent attempt. Is it the best song from these days? No, but that isn't to say that it rocks.
I never use to love until recently.
I think it's one of the best songs from TD. |
I like it but don't love it. The breakdown in the middle has always reminded me of Pink Floyd's "Keep Talking" from The Division Bell.
Not the best song from TD in my opinion, but I still like it very much!
I liked it but didn't love it in comparison to some of the other songs on These Days . . . until I saw in live. :D
Therefore, I say "YES!" |
I've always loved it as when TD was released I was in the relationship that the song describes!!!
Been one of my faves since day 1. For me it still hasn't lost anything and can stand up to some of the more preferred rock songs from that era, not the best from TD but very close.
it's a great song
It's a great song....
I love Damned and it's one of the best off These Days. Probably one of the best highlights of the Dublin shows for me.
I love it, very cool song. I LOVE that riff, and it seems like a brilliant live tune. Probably my 3rd favorite song off the record, after the title track and Hey God.
It's a good track, with a great riff.
I thought it was ok
But then I heard it live and really really liked it I've listened to it more since I heard I and it really has grown on me. |
not one of my favourites but i do like it.
Was a great surprise in Dublin although it was spoiled for me when a foreign couple decided to cut through the gold circle and stand right in front of me and then decided to spend nearly the whole concert of facebook. |
It's a great song, especially live...like so many others said, great to get it in Dublin. I can relate to the lyrics also. Not one of my very favs, but either way a very gd song.
Like everything in TD album... It's a great damned song :onfire:
don't really like it.... there are about 10 songs i would prefer to hear from the td-record, except bitter wine and diamond ring....
One of their best. Shows off the band's musicianship and contains a certain raw, visceral element which is missing from 95% of their work.
It makes me want to dance with a hammer in my hand. |
I don't hate it, but it's my least fave from These Days. It's one of those songs I can take or leave, but I often skip it when I'm listening to the CD.
It's a great song - plain and simple.
i love the song, it rocks and i really love the guitar work by richie on this song

I love the opening riff and the way Jon sings it. Its one of my favorites, I really want to hear it live.
I think it's a damned good song! :onfire:

To the song...I adore when Jon gets crazy during the lines "the lies are on my tongue, but I can't turn back I know my sould is DAMNED" |

It has always been one of my two least favorites off These Days. It is still a good song and a solid rocker. I especially like the Ohhh damned right before the last, last chorus.
Seeing it last summer at Soldier Field made me appreciate it far more than I could image. It is one of the best live songs they have in their catalogue... right up there with Keep the Faith (again, never been a favorite but an incredible live experience). Tico goes crazy... it is something you can't truly appreciate from watching videos. So yes, a good song and a great live song. |
No.
It's a fuc*ing brilliant song. Sensational piece of rock. |
one of the best songs jon and richie have ever written, I like the story, it fits the image band had in 90's
I always liked the song. The guitar work is incredible, Dave's little keyboard riff throughout the song, the vocals, the almost Beatle-esque dialogue in the bridge, the wah-wah solo - **** yeah. Bon Jovi should have written way more of these.
