Tickets...a bit pricy, don't you think?

I recieved an e-mail about the pre-sale the other day, and I was very excited about getting tickets for the Pittsburgh show this summer...until I saw the price.

The "good" seats were bloody $85! The seats on the side were around $70, and the lawn seats were $35 (which is pretty good). But with shipping and handling charges, the tickets were almost $100 a piece! Now that's a bit steep.

Fortunately (well, unfortunately, but it solved my ticket ordeal), all the good seats were already sold out, so I guess lawn will have to suffice...again :( .

How much are tickets in your area? Are they as ridiculously expensive as mine?

I got 4 general admission standing tickets for Hyde Park in London and each cost me £43.60 (about $70) with service and postal charges on top. $70 for your basic cheap ticket is somewhat overpriced me thinks! :?

It's in line with other acts. Cher tickets for Jackson were $90 each (disclaimer: my boss went, not me). Prince tickets were $65 in 1997 and he didn't even have an opening act (disclaimer: my friend begged me to go because no one wanted to go with her). With Bon Jovi this time around, you're getting 2-3 big name artists on one bill.

That really is pricy. The last two concerts I went to (Crush/OWN) in Europe costed about 35 U.S$ each, and that were the most expensive ones.

we're paying 55 EUR for general admission ones. not as pricey as the stones, but definitely a bit over the top. especially if your in the back of a stadium standing on the lawn and maybe not being able to see the stage

Yeah the prices have gone up somewhat. I went to Milton Keynes for 2001 OWN and that ticket only cost £31.50!!!!! Now if they played Wembley for the Crush tour the previous year for £27.50 and raised the price to £31.50 for OWN Tour, what, apart from greed, could have prompted them to lift the prices by the huge margin in comparison just 2 years after OWN??!! :?

I have to agree, I was all psyched to go to the Hartford show, but the final price of $92 each stopped me in my tracks. As much as I love Richie...I just couldn't do it.

I know it's a different venue here in toronto...but the ticket prices have shot up since the February show.

I paid about $125 CDN for the first bounce show (a 9th row ticket--I then paid 100 more to upgrade to 1st row).....but at the Molson Amphitheatre I got a 7th row seat (same price range as before) and I had to pay $155 CDN.

A $30 difference over 5 months sounds a little ludicrous--what's goin' on with these people!?!?!?!?!

I think mine was anymore exspensive than 2001, other than a few pounds

i payed 50€ for BJ- a german act i'm going to in the same venue 4 days before BJ costs 37€, Bryan Adams was 47€ and Robbie is nearly 60€- my first BJ show back in 1996 was 390 Austrian Schillings which is about 27€ :-) nearly half of this years ticket price....
