The cover I'm thinking of is an absolutely beautiful acoustic song called (I think) "In Time." I don't know who, if anyone did it first, or if it was written for the movie, but it's played by one of the characters in The Punisher. Here are the lyrics:
In Time I can hear what you're thinking All your doubts and fears And if you look in my eyes In Time You'll find the reason I'm here And In Time all things shall Pass Away And In Time You may come back some day To live once more Or die once more But In Time Your time will be no more You know your days are numbered Count them one by one Like notches in the handle of an outlaw's gun You can outrun the devil if you try But you will never outrun the hands of time In Time There will surely come a day And In Time All things shall pass away And In Time You may come back some say To live once more Or die once more But In Time Your time will be no more... I can hear what you're thinking... You guys like it? Welcome back! This is so cool that you're comin' back soon! I can't wait to hear our songs recorded! Adrian |
yeah, unfortunately cause the house has taken so long EVERYTHING has been p[ushed back, which i apologise unreservedly for...
/me goes to try find above song... - if its as good as you say ill snag it for my own album ;-) |
If you're trying to find stuff about it on the internet, good luck, you'll drive yourself crazy with the lack of info. I spent 5 months looking for the lyrics, just found 'em 2 weeks ago. Then I discovered you can download the song on WinMX. Its called In Time by Mark Collie (length is 2:45) and it appears it was written just for The Punisher.

I wouldn't be into putting something down on record without the license for it.

got the song straight away...
got the punusher album... |
Jim:I don't think you need a license to cover a song on a free album. Due to the Dry County related content we can't sell this album....do you expect us to go out and get a license from BJ for using the Dry County theme?
Does every highschool covers band need a license for every song they do? Adrian |
If no profits going to be made then it's OK.
And to answer your 2nd question. Actually they do. If you play in the school, the school will have a license that covers any music played in there. If they play somewhere else they "should" fill in a PRS (or other respective organisations) form declaring what they're covering. |
Start Over Now
(c) D.C. 8/16/04 Lyrics By Adrian You're livin' in a brave new world Can't stop and look back Gotta move forward You have to live in the future Not stuck in the past Start Over Now Don't you think its time? This is your wake-up call Its time to re-align Realize this dream Gotta find a way somehow This is your wake-up call Start Over...Now You never run out of chances There's always another day Somehow you'll clear the slate Find yourself a better way Start Over Now Don't you think its time? This is your wake-up call Its time to re-align Realize this dream Gotta find a way somehow This is your wake-up call Start Over...Now You don't even have to know You can just pretend The past has never happened And you can start again (guitar solo) Nothin' ever happened You can start again... Start Over Now Don't you think its time? This is your wake-up call Its time to re-align Realize this dream Gotta find a way somehow This is your wake-up call Start Over...Now What do you guys think? Like it? Think it needs something? What's the recording situation right now? Tawtami, did you look up that song? If so, did you like it? Adrian |
dont u think since we're a bonjovi related band, its better if we cover some bon jovi song???
|
^^^Perhaps, I just thought this song tied in real nice with the material we've already written. What does anyone think of SON? I'm gonna add it to the list of songs if there are no objections.
