Wow Sara that is really good song. I really love what u done with it. The accustic version is so good, i just can't wait how it gonna be if we recorded with full flege intruments. I just can't stop smiling. And it is like addiction u can't stop listening it. I just wish i had my computer at a moment. :P :P

What u guys think?. Walrus and Adrian?.

Adrian 01-03-2004 07:01 PM

I'm kind of busy now, I won't be back fully till Monday. Seems I get the most work done with this band during school. Weird, huh? Anyway, I'm glad to here that Heartbreak Town is recorded. I can't wait to hear it. Ummm...I'm gonna sound stupid here, but how do I access it? What website do I go to, where do I put in the passwords and stuff?

Anyone know where Arash is? I say we give him a week, and if he hasn't reported in or anything, we ask Jag if he wants to do some electric guitar work for us. We'll leave the spot open for Arash of course, when he gets back.

Adrian

tawtami 01-03-2004 08:27 PM

its in the mail account- i left all the details in there... if you still have problems then pm me (or allmike, seeing as he got to the file)

allmike 01-04-2004 10:10 AM

Adrian why don't u PM Arash to ask whether is he still intrested in out band or not. And also for Jag too.
Sara we can open another account in www.fdrive.com. they are giving 200mb space to save. What u think?.

tawtami 01-04-2004 02:09 PM

allmike if you would like to go ahead and sort that out then thats fine, by all means go for it and transfer the files into there- as long as they are easily accessible by everyone involved then im happy whatever.

Captain Walrus 01-04-2004 02:25 PM

I can't find the sodding thing! I swear its not in either mail account :?

Keep On Rockin'

tawtami 01-04-2004 02:29 PM

What is Soddin file?. I gonna setup account in Fdrive too, we store songs and unfisih songs and lyrics in both account. If we can't access one accoutn we'll have backup.

tawtami 01-04-2004 04:02 PM

hehe... it was just me being frustrated allmike- i sent walrus the file over msn in the end.... an opinion would be good sometime soon though....

allmike 01-04-2004 04:12 PM

Hey guys i did post this before, again posting. This is my new song and it is not complete and need lot of work i think any way i'm posting here let me know what u feel about it and if u wanna make change be my guest.

O my friend

Versa 1

O my friend
Are you a friend or bitter enemy in disguise?
O my friend
Are you standing by me or standing on me?
How can you crush me while I’m carrying you?
How can you hurt me deep when I fall sleep down?

I lost my precious life to put you in right track
So you can grow brighter and reach higher life
Then why have you done things I can’t forget
Why did you stab me back when I turn around?

Chorus

O my friend why are you smiling when I’m hurt
O my friend why are running when I can’t walk
Someday you gonna realise what you lost in me
I won’t be there to comfort you or give you hand
You just don’t lost anything; you lost a friend in me…..forever

Versa 2

O my friend
I was given you my shoulders and you cut them off
O my friend
I was your shining bright eye and you pull them out
Will you be happy just see me suffer in pool of blood
Can you smile while I’m crawling in my darkest hour?

tawtami 01-04-2004 04:43 PM

aty brief read through it looks good- ill have a closer look later though ok?
need to get back in english mode...

Wild_x_Wind 01-05-2004 01:29 AM

tawtami- i liked your song Exposed, it had a very Evanescence feel to it, but i'm going to be completely honest here and say that i don't like what you did with the song Heartbreak Town. the vocals didn't seem to fit with the music at all. i couldn't even make it through the whole song, it didn't sound good. it sounded like something you'd see on the auditions for the show American Idol :?

tawtami 01-05-2004 01:42 AM

GAH evenescence........

screw f*ckin evenescence....
it was done 2 years before anyone outside of little rock had heard of them.
bain of my life.

as for the song.
its not meant to have an acoustic guitar in it, but i didnt want to put all the instruments in otherwise i might as well just orchestrate it... its a rough idea of the tune and when i dont have bronchitis the vocals might sound better-

but thats fine- fair comment.... it was jsut an idea.. anyone any others?

Wild_x_Wind 01-05-2004 02:20 AM

 didn't realize Evanescence was such a bad word around here  i meant it as a compliment because i really like her voice and in that song you sounded kind of like her.

it's not the guitar that's the problem.. it's the melody of the song, it doesn't seem to fit with the lyrics/vocals. it just sounds awkward to me :? but that's just my pov. after all, i've no musical talent, i'm just in charge of the artwork

tawtami 01-05-2004 01:30 PM

its not a bad word at all....

i quite like them myself... its just that so many people tell me that it sounds like evenescence, and it just really frustrates me because of course ive copied that style  :(

the melody will improve when its lifted- i intend for it to be higher than it is (assuming that people want that to be it) - which will then make it a lot easier to sing and help it to fit, but because of the way i was playing acoustic to create the concept of the chords around the tune, it was lower than i intended, but to have gotten it in the right key etc would have taken a lot more work (not that im not committed or anything ! ) and i a) didnt have the time, and b) wasnt feeling well enough to spend three days multitracking and playing around with computer software.....

like i said its just a cencept and idea, and the comments are appreciated- ill develop it more if its needed/wanted and then we'll see...

allmike 01-05-2004 04:24 PM

I like the melody of Heartbreak town, but ofcourse it is just the rough idea and when it recorded with full flege music it gonna sound more sharper. I just wondering will it be like 8 min song coz without any solo and all it is 6min song. That is not a bad thing for me coz i also love long songs. :P

Adrian 01-05-2004 06:26 PM

After a great Christmas vacation, I'm back.

Tawtami:I downloaded it and have listened to it about 4 times now. I hadn't heard "Exposed" so I didn't know what to expect. I must say, VERY well done! It reminds me of an accoustic Dry County. The prechoruses and choruses are great. One small thing I'm not too fond of, and that's probably more in the way the song is written, but the first 2-3 lines of each verse kind of sound a little too high and a little too fast. Other than that, the song is great! I'd like to hear it with some additional instruments, but I like the accoustic demo sound to it too. Congratulations are in order for you and Allmike! Oh and by the way, I didn't really hear the Evanescence sound everyone else hears.
Allmike:You wrote a winner. This is really cool. And there is a guitar solo in there.

I've got some new stuff for Hands Of Time:

Time changes everything
But it can't take away this ache
We're still the same
But this ain't about the names
Its about what's inside
Its about what we feel
Or could've felt
Why won't this heal
It'd be so easy for me
To just walk away
To give up and say
This was all a mistake
This was never alive
There's no way to turn back
The Hands Of Time

I was thinking about the CD as a whole, and it seems we outwrote (timewise) ourselves. We have a song called Back Into Dry County, and at some point in the near future, we're going to write one called Straight Out Of Dry County. It seems to me like "Straight..." should come first. What would you guys think of dividing the CD in half, like Meat Loaf did with Couldn't Have Said It Better. He's got 2 "chapters" of the CD, each a couple of songs long. The first chapter on our CD could be songs that kind of relate to "Straight...", then the second "chapter" would be songs kind of relate to "Back Into...". What do you think? Am I making any sense?

I'll PM Arash and see what's up.

Adrian

tawtami 01-05-2004 09:59 PM

fair comments guys... i'll have a look at seeing what can be done...

Jag 01-06-2004 01:45 AM

mind if i hear heartbreak town?

tawtami 01-06-2004 02:35 AM

i dont at all.....

Adrian 01-06-2004 04:05 PM

I'll wait for Allmike's (the manager) answer on this one. I think one of the policies we agreed on earlier, before any recording began, was that only band members could listen to songs before the CD was released. However, due to Arash's indefinite departure from the band, we're short a guitarist (he'll be coming back though), and you had advertised here a while back saying you'd be willing to do some guitar work for us. If you want to join the band, you can. The only condition for joining the band as a musician is that you need to be able to record. If you can, and you want to join the band, and Allmike says its ok (which he will), you're in. Once Allmike says you're in, I'll send you the information about the DC account, and from there you'll get the information on how to access Heartbreak Town.

Adrian

allmike 01-06-2004 04:40 PM

I have absulty nothing against Jag joining the band , i think it really help us. In case Arash come also we can afford two guitarist or one can go for bass. So Adrian go ahead and give Jag the membership.

Adrian i also like ur idea of making it into 2 album and all. But thing is we may have fair amount of lyrcis and can write more soon. But question is how many of them are going to be really good songs and make to the album. I hope most of them make it. Now if only we could have a drumer who also can record we can go ahead with recording.

Adrian 01-06-2004 11:06 PM

Actually, I wasn't talking about making 2 albums. If you look at Meat Loaf's newest CD, which I'm using for my inspiration here, the CD itself is divided into 2 chapters. Not 2 CDs, just 2 chapters. I figure dividing a CD into 2 halves would be a lot better than making 2 CDs. I'm thinking we should probably go with a 10 song CD, since that's probably all that would fit on a CD, given the length of our songs. So far we've written:

Back Into Dry County
I'd Do Anything For You
Win Or Lose
Heartbreak Town
Back

In the works:
Hands Of Time
Straight Out Of Dry County
O My Friend

If all of these wind up being recordings, we'll need 2 more songs (no big deal), and probably 2 songs written exclusively for demos, to go along with 2 demo recordings for the "singles". I figure, in total, we'll probably wind up writing about 14-16 songs, and hopefully recording 12. That's if we stick with my idea of doing 10 songs on the album.

Jag:Do you have a way of recording you music? That's the one requirement we have for all prospective musicians that enter the band. If you can, you're in.

Adrian

tawtami 01-07-2004 12:43 AM

try talking to jim bon jovi re: the drummer thing....

Jag 01-07-2004 01:34 AM

Allmike:I forgot Living On Hope. Sorry. It does need some work before we can add it to the list though. I haven't taken a good look at it yet, I'll get to that soon. Arash is busy, and he hopes to join us soon, but doesn't know if he can. Are you going to post advertisements for drummer, bassist, and keyboardist? If so, can you add guitarist to the list? Please make them all seperate posts, if you decide to advertise for these musicians.

Jag:If you can find a way to record, you're in. If you can't find a way to record, would you like to join the band later as a reviewer? I think that once the album is about 3/4 done, we'll probably let some people in to listen to the songs, so we can decide what would make for good singles, and also to get opinions on the songs.

What would you guys think of shooting for a fall release? I doubt we'll be ready to go by or during summer, but I think we can get it out before Halloween. If we can find some more musicians, the recording process will go faster. And what would you think about asking Theirry to do guitar? He did guitar for JoviGirl's Dry County cover, and I think he volunteered early on to play guitar for this band.

Adrian

tawtami 01-10-2004 05:50 AM

fine with me :)

allmike 01-10-2004 06:16 PM

Thierry is very good guitarest i think. But does he have to time for ur band is the question. Adrian why don't u PM and ask. If he is intrested then it would be very good. And also PM me exact containt u want me to post in ad for drummer, keyboardist and Guitarist.

Jag 01-11-2004 01:34 AM

well i am strugglign with recording mostly cos ive no clue how to use cubase, which is wot my bro has, and no he dont know either... if i was to manage to sort this out, hwo woudl we all do it, cos alot fo us are in different countries? i dont mind being a reviewer or a test machine lol whislt i wait to get the guitar connected. i think its best if u have someone who can actually record and wihtot worrying if he/she can do it or not...if i get it fixed anytime soon ill let u guys know...

Adrian 01-12-2004 04:00 PM

Jag:The way we'd work it, I think, is that you'd email a finished guitar track to Tawtami, who can put it together with vocals. I think she said she has tracking ability.
Allmike:You've got a PM, or will soon. I'm going to work on sending the lyrics to the email account this week.

Anyone know where Walrus went? Or what he thinks of Heartbreak Town? Also, for those of you who are part of the music forum, I posted a solo song (lyrics) there.

Adrian

allmike 01-12-2004 06:19 PM

I got the PM, i will post ad tomorrow. Where is Music form?. I never seen it before. :?
So Tawtami are u working on any other songs at a moment?. I think once our line up is completed we can go through recording more smoothly.

tawtami 01-12-2004 08:50 PM

I'll post the updated Hands Of Time tomorrow, and you can take a look at that. Once that's finished, we should start on Straight Out Of Dry County. I've got a cool idea for a chorus for that. Did you check out I'm Not There For You?

Adrian

allmike 01-13-2004 05:45 PM
