i can play a shitload of instruments and can record professional standard stuff with the gear ive got in my room.

Adrian would you be against using the words "Dry County" in the artwork? or is it strictly "DC"?

i think they need a guitarist. i am up for it but ive no recording equpiment at all..which sucks really..

hi again, sorry for my sudden departure, i had a lot of things to do, been really busy, but i think im free enough now... so is there still a lack for a guitarist or no...?if u still want someone, i can do that and i like to do that...anyway, ill send the demo version of "Win or lose" for you tomorrow night, its the intro, first verse, and the chorus, with 2 guitars (acoustic & electric) and bass and drums (although bass and drums is not real, but its something), if u liked it, i can go on with the whole...

it would appear we have an abundance of people putting their hands up for guitar so i'd be more than happy to drum and let some more people in on the action.

it'll give me a good excuse to work my way round the electric kit. might even get some of those great 80's gated verb drum sounds that some of us were discussing the other day.

i think recordings going to be a bit more problematic than simply everyone recording their part and letting sara stick it all together.

ill go into more detail with my worries if indeed u want me in. hell ill tell u anyways cos its a gr8 idea and anyway i can help i will but its late now and im tired to im off to bed.

yeah i'll do the drums but the actual logistics of it's going to be alot harder than just everyone recording their part and sending it to sara

as jim says, you are going to have massive problems recording. keeping it in synch for one.

Jim it would be real nice if u can take up the Drummer postion. I know it not going to easy to record, but then everything till we did was also not easy. But i'm sure we can overcome any problem.
We already have Demo for one of the songs and will be having another one soon. So it really looking bringhter at a moment.

well as richie sed the biggest problem is going to be keepign everything synchronised.

all it takes is one part to be a few bpm out and the whole songs ****ed.

the actual process would have to be alot more complicated than a band in a studio as in the way we lay down tracks etc...

ur goign to get a wide range of different recording methods and formats all being laid down on the tracks so i could have pristine crystal clear digital tracks of my drums and someone else has fired it together on an answering machine. 2 extremes yeah but u want a bit of continuity. it only takes 1 track to sound cheap or not recorded as well as the rest to ruin a full song.

the EQ and levels of each individual track could be way way out with regards to each other and we'd need to find some way of sorting it out;


it is do able but if any of u arent really clued up on how the recording pocess usually works ill explain so u know how we wont be able to do it like that and my idea of how to get round the problem.

Go to the band email account (information on how to access it is in a PM I sent to you a while back) and read the letter from Tawtami there (it should be the top letter). Go to the Yahoo site it says to, then access the briefcase (you'll need to be signed out of your Yahoo screenname, if you have an account with them). Enter the info given in the email, and download the song when the Briefcase pops up. You can put Win Or Lose in the briefcase too, and then just make an announcement here that its in the briefcase and that we should go look at it (please don't tell the password or account name here). Or if you've got a storage account you want to put it in, email the info to the D.C. email account, and post here that you sent the email.

but do you mind if i work on Heartbreak town to make he full song? i lisetened to sara's demo, was very good, so i picked up the guitar and played along with it... i almost made the electrci version, only the solo left....its totally the same as sara made, i didnt change it and just added guitars.....

That is very good Arash. You can rework on Heartbreak Town with electric version. You can submitt as u finish it.

Arash:How's Heartbreak Town coming? Also, what happens when you try to upload stuff to the briefcase? Does it give you an error? Does it just not go? Can you describe what happens, so we can figure out what is wrong.

Jim:Have you listened to Heartbreak Town yet? If so, what did you think? Also, if you've listened to it, can you compose a drum track for it or something? I'm not real good with musical terminology I'm afraid...

yeah the recording will be difficult, but like Jim said, there are ways around it...

I added our first 3 full song lyrics to the email account. I'll (hopefully) put the other 2 full songs up, and then I'll get back to writing. Walrus, you there? What did you think of the full version of Hands Of Time? Anything to change, add? I'm hoping to rewrite parts of it soon. Go for it. We can always use one more song. As a matter of fact, I kind of like the Nickelback/Default idea of writing tons of songs during an off time (we can only put 10 songs on the new CD) and then using some of those for the next CD. While I'm not certain we'll have a next CD, or that we'll finish this one, its always a good idea to get a head start. Like Kevin Bacon (or Fred Ward) said in Tremors: We plan ahead, so we never have to do anything right now. Or something like that. Um, what about the Secret Project. If you've still got it (I don't) it just needs a 2nd verse, then its done.

I'm going to go back, take a look at HOT and rewrite the bits I don't like, then repost the whole thing for you to take a look at.
