local newspaper getting innocent people in trouble
 

i went to a party at a lake last friday...
well.... it was in the newspaper and they said we had killed ducks and burnt down a house....but its not true...i was the last who left and when i left everything was fine there.... they want to put a fence around the beach now and sue all those who were involved :o

Although Im sure a newspaper wouldnt blatently lie, are you sure someone didnt do something later that night - not someone part of the group that was actually at this party, but its still enough to try and claim a connection. Like when the police sent my mum (and about 30 other parents) a letter claiming we had vandalised a school because we had been at a party the same night when some crackhead had actually smashed some windows, great logic ey!

well, i doubt there were 40-50 people there after us (the newspaper said this number) :?
