At the backstageboard( sorry) someone is telling people where to line up.
Should we line up at the entrance or the place where the wristbands would be handed out.

Jovi(4)me, nobody is telling anybody where we should line up. We're just making suggestions, based on our previous experiences. And my previous experiences say that for fan club members, the best place to line up is the same place where fan club wristbands will be handed out. Queueing up at the fan club entrance is pointless, if the wristbands will be handed out somewhere else. Going back and forth between two different queues is a foolproof way of making a mess of the whole fan club wristband / early entrance thing. Unless, of course, that's precisely what you're aiming at... :P

Jovian, what do you mean exactly? I haven't been following the discussion at Backstage, and can't be bothered to go there...

Well, I actually thought about bringing the discussion over here too, but because it only concerns fan club members, I decided to let it be. But now when jovime (a.k.a. jovi4me on the Backstage Board) has brought it here, I suppose we can talk about it here as well.

After the first fan club arrangement info was announced, someone made a Q at the Backstage Board about where we should queue up, if the wristbands are handed out in one place and the actual fan club entrance is going to be in another place. Should we queue up at the wristband distribution place or at the actual fan club entrance gate? With the exception of a couple of people (jovime and Serendipity_ as well as joviscot to some extent), everyone agreed that if the wristbands will be handed out in one place and the actual entrance will take place somewhere else, i.e. the wristbands won't be handed out upon entry to the venue but before that, the best place to queue up is the wristband distribution place. Queueing up at the fan club entrance gate is pointless, because nobody will be allowed to enter the gate without wristbands -- ppl would have to leave that queue to pick up their wristbands and come back to the first queue again. So it makes more sense to queue up where the wristbands are handed out, and then, after ppl have received their wristbands, form another line at the actual entrance gate. Going back and forth between two different queues is a foolproof way to mess everything up for good.

I started the discussion on backstage-board. The reason why I didn´t post it here is because it refers to Fanclub-members only and I didn´t want to bother all of you who are not in the FC, so that´s the only reason why I posted on backstage-board only.

To make this clear: I don´t want to tell anybody where to line up, I just wanted to see if we can find a solution on this question - a FC members agreement.

It doesn't make very much sense to queue at the entrance before you have your wristband, does it. Of course you have to queue where you get the wristband first and not at the entrance.

I didn't follow the thread on Backstage though because for me it's sure to queue where I get the wristband and nowhere else.

I think it would be wiser to line up at the entrance and then pick the wristbands up one at the time. Me and Laura are together in every show and I thought we could make it that way, that one picks her wristband up and the other stands in the queue and then vice versa. Doesn't this make any sense? Every show I've attended someone came to the queue to give out the wristbands so we didn't have to pick them up.

That's the big difference between you (and us DC people to an extent) and Backstage people.
You can use your brain.

The difference is probably that I'm happy when I get my wristband and can get into the Pit. I'm as happy in the 5th or 10th row as in the front row. It's not most important for me to be front row. I'm glad that we have the chance to get into the Pit. I don't care very much where I stand there as long as it is on Richie's side. And since we have an earlier entrance again we for sure can stand somewhere in the first 10 rows. What should I want more? I don't make myself more stress than necessary and I got the feeling that some people do.
