what a lie! the same old **ship**
i can't believe it... every time i look to the set list of barcelona i want to scream :bad-word: . yesterday, in the press conference, they said 2 things:
1.- barcelona was going to be a 'special concert, different from the rest of the european set'. what does it mean? maybe the rest of europe will have 'great' setlist, but the one from bcn is the same as the us tour. 2.- 'we're gonna play more songs from td'. really? maybe jon was trying to say they WONT play anything from this album?. anyway, more or less, i do like the setlist. the thing that gets me upset is the stupid things they said on the press conference. if you're not gonna do something, please shut up! but don't give people any false expectative. :splat: well, let's see the madrid performance. i'll be there, but i'm sure the setlist will be 99% equal to the barcelona one... |
I wondered that, too. Therefore they played Blaze of Glory for the zillioned time. Arrgghh. I hope he changes it until Sunday.

Aloha !
Kids, don't worry, this is just the first concert from the European tour. That means it's a tryout. Remember the first gig in Japan ? It had the same problem, and the Japanese concerts have been the greatest yet. Well, the Americans never get great setlists, that's just something they have to accept...:P And hell yeah, I'm optimistic as hell...Not that I believe my explanation for the full 100% but hey, it's a way too expect better things...:) Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
I really regret it that they don't change the setlist more often, eventhough they say they do. Why do we ALWAYS get I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, Bad Medicine and Shout? I wish they'd do it more like a lottery or something, that they pick some random songs out, go out there and play them. That would be so cool, but I know it is not very realistic.
Anyway, a bit more surprises would be good too. Why not start off with some good old songs we don't hear too often anymore, or with some These Days material? Maybe some of the crowd wouldn't like it, but I bet the real fans would go mad with it. Maybe it would help if we would say on this forum which songs we want off or on the setlist (you never know) So for me it's like this: OFF: I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, Blaze Of Glory, Bad Medicine ON: Say it isn't so, I believe, Something to believe in and please some more ballads! |

people should by now know that the show can be great even with the same setlist, but the annoying thing Walrus is the band building this big image around themselves as the most spontaneous rock n roll band since the equivalent of sliced bread. If you're not going to change the setlists - don't say that's what you do night after night. I will still enjoy the show and i'll know in advance what i'm getting, or at least... what i'm not getting (better way of saying it) |
