UK Concerts: Fanclub wristbands

1. Does anyone know what the situation is this year regading fanclub wristbands. I know Backstage has posted that it is "one fanclub ticket per person" but does this apply to the bands also? Last year we bought our tickets in advance and then queued up separately for the the wristbands which was two per fanclub member.

2. At Old Trafford we have been given reserved seats but when I get a wristband does that mean I just forfeit the seat and go to the stage pit or what? Does anyone have experience in a similar situation and what did you do?

Pit will hold 4-5000 ppl

No FC arrangements, as being run by ticket master & FC as it stands cannot afford to buy a smaller pit area.

From what I can see. FANCLUB members were told to buy the GOLD CIRCLE tickets when the tickets first went onsale. They were more expensive and many fans thought that the band were ripping them off, which I can see their point. I, myself am not in the fanclub, was going to do it, but this year they introduced a system where by if you wanted to be in the pit, then you should buy the more expensive tickets (gold circle). I did just that and for the four UK dates this year, I bought gold Circle Stading Tickets that were over £40 each.

The OFFICIAL word from backstage has not come through yet about getting wristbands, we are all hoping it will come sooner rather than later. On the last tour in 2001, there was no such thing as gold circle, but the pit did exist, but it was supposed to be for fan club members only, however I found out on backstage that some fans would be able to gain access to the pit. My friend and I simple Queued up in the fan club line in the hope to get wristbands and we were lucky enough to get them and get in the pit

This time around I am IMAGINING that it will be pretty much the same procedure only fan club members should already have GOLD CIRCLE tickets meaning that they automatically get wristbands for the pit. Members of backstage who DONT have gold tickets may not get in at all UNLESS they have a gold ticket. But as I previosuly said, backstage have not posted fan club information about the UK dates as yet, so we are still waiting. I dont even know 100% what is going to happen. I could be completely wrong, but speaking from experience from going to BJ gigs in the past and being a BIG fan, that is what I think will happen.

If you are a member and your friend isnt, then your friend may not get access to the pit at all unless you are really lucky. If you already ahve reserved seats for the gig, then i think you may have to stay there.

Romour already has it that Ticket Master have sold too many tickets for the pit anyway, and were heavily over subscribed

Sit tight and keep everything crossed.

Hope you get in the pit and Ill cya there!

Where exactly are you getting this information from, Mike?

Cause according to two or was it even three out of the four different TM Customer Service people I talked with last week, there WILL be some sort of special arrangements for the fan club members. Two different guys at least acknowledged the fan club membership and said that they've been told that there WILL be something for the fan club members, that the members WILL be taken care of one way or the other. So I really wonder where you get all this information from, if ppl at TM are saying there will be fc arrangements at the UK gigs.
