At least we got backstage's attention

Thats total bullshit them complaining about people who have posted that we Aussies are being treated like dirt. What have we done to deserve no tour again? I never posted anything there about scumba other than to say is it possible to just show for the Jovi part of the show. We are getting a bad deal and we have every right to contact promoters to ask if this is all we are getting, and why. Why would we spend $90 if we were not told this is all we are getting....if a tour was assured nobody would go to this December thing.

How do you know that they don't tour Australia? Jon said a few weeks or days back that they start their world tour in Australia. We won't get any tour dates for all over the world until Sept. 30.

IF Australia is left out then, you have enough time to complain. It's way too early now to make a drama.

How do you know this? I mean do we get the tour dates Sept. 30 or sometime after that?

It stands on different messageboards, I think the origin is from www.bonjovi.de.

Hmmm what does this mean then? :?: :?

Question:
According to the German Universal site (www.bonjovi.de) the tour dates will be announced in the autumn (30 September and further). Is that true? Sorry for this chrystal ball question, but there are rumours going on and all the fans are very curious... for example, there are rumours that they will skip Holland... Thanks for answering!

Answer:
There is NO TOUR INFO yet. There is no date upon which any tour information will be announced so that information is inaccurate. Rumours take on a life of their own if we pay them the attention they feed off of...

I can't look for myself at the moment because I don't have flash here at work but it should stand in "dates" on www.bonjovi.de, which is the official homepage of Mercury Germany.

Maybe BJHQ only knows for the USA and not for worldwide. It's not the first time they denied something that in the End was true.

It isn't there anymore...

Sorry I don't know to say this in English:

@Sambo-Chris: da hat wohl wieder jemand (bonjovi.de) von bonjovi.com eines auf den Deckel bekommen und nachher stellt sich wieder heraus, dass das "Gerücht" der Wahrheit entspricht, das kennen wir doch schon!

Greetings from Germany

Josy

You are propably right, Josy.

To the others: She said that propably Mercury Germany got into trouble with BJM or whoever so they had to remove the announcment that the dates will be confirmed on Sept. 30. Things like that happened quite often in the last weeks, even though the announcements were true.

Seeing messages like this don't make me wonder one bit why Backstage posted the note from the Bon Jovi Management on their News.

First of all, Aussies are not being treated like dirt -- Australia is by all means NOT the only country or even not the only continent in the world that haven't got a full-fledged Jovi tour in years. Still, do you see African or South American fans filling up the Boards with complaints and angry messages? Or Norwegian, Danish, Polish, Greek, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Russian, Estonian or bloody Belarussian fans, even though some of those countries haven't got a show since 1993 or 1995 and others have NEVER got a proper Jovi show? No, you don't. Sure, fans in those places might be ticked off for not getting Jovi shows in their countries -- and rightly so, I might add -- but they still know how to behave and aren't clogging the Boards with complaints and infantile threats to "quit the fan club" or "bomb the promotor with e-mails".

Another thing is, that you claim you have "every right to contact the promotors". But if you really want to be a true and good fan and respect the band and their wishes, you DO NOT harrass the promotors or the record company on your own. I know Aussie fans got their "insiders", people who are in contact with the record company & probably also the promotors because of their jobs...but if those people really were as professional as they want to be, they wouldn't a) ask about anything that isn't directly related to their work (and about 99% of all those Jovi things probably aren't), and b) share their "inside scoops" with the rest of the fans before the information is officially confirmed and announced on the official websites.

When the Aussie fans were flocking the BSWJBJ Board with their complaints and disappointment, some of us non-Aussie fans tried to comfort you and make you feel better by suggesting carefully that maybe you should wait until THE BAND'S END, the official websites, have confirmed and announced the Australian tour information before jumping into conclusions and expressing your bitter disappointment by flooding the Boards with messages. As far as I could see, most of us tried to show support and word our posts carefully... Yet some of the replies to our posts were way beyond obnoxious and arrogant. We were basically told to shut it, cause "we know better, we have all the confirmed information from the promotor and the record company, and all BSWJBJ and bj.com can do now is to confirm this so-called "news" we've known for a long time already." I, for one, was absolutely appalled to see such attitude, such arrogance and such blatant disregard for the band and the management and their wishes. Like Jesyjames wrote, there are way too many fans out there who live under the ILLUSION that the band somehow owes them something, whether that be a personal meet'n'greet or a proper concert tour in their territory. The truth is, the band doesn't owe us ANYTHING. It's our CHOICE to be in the fan club, it's our CHOICE to go to concerts, it's our CHOICE to buy the records. When we go to concerts, we're entitled to be there and enjoy the songs. When we buy the records, we're entitled to a flawless CD with the band's music in it (and please DON'T start with me on the copy protection issues, mmmkay?). And when we pay the fc membership fee, we're entitled to the newsletters and the fc seating/wristband arrangements WHERE APPLICABLE. That's all we're entitled to, nothing more, nothing less. It's very sad indeed how some fans can't seem to get that.
