Munchen review... long one!
Just got back home and wrote it right away. I am still in heaven! Here it is ENJOY
Munchen June 13th 2003 How shall I start, I don’t know. I am still in heaven. First I like to say I am sorry some of my great friends missed this show. It was one hell of a ride. We arrived in Munchen Thursday night around 8 pm. There were 20 people in front of me, okay still front row. I was happy. Cause they forecasted thunderstorms and heavy rains we found ourselves a dry place to sleep. When I wroke up at 6 am in the morning there were all ready more then 50 people. We made a line and round 11.30 am Kevin came and told us because of the bad weather we could wait inside. So we got our wristbands and waited in the VIP lounge. I talked to my friends and had some fun. Around 4 pm we entered the stadium, the weather was nice and it was hot!! I ended up front row in front of David, couldn’t be any better. The support act Gil was just crap! Sorry. Live rocked the stadium they keep on getting better everytime. But we came for Bon Jovi and we want BON JOVI. At 8.30 pm the band entered the stage with Bounce, but the energy that they showed the power, it was amazing. The crowed around the hole stadium went wild. All people on the tribune, the field everybody was standing, jumping and having a great time. Jon walked around and hit his own sunglasses from his face. They went straight on with You give love a bad name. Jon was bouncing around on stage and the crowed was perfect. During You give love a bad name we all put up our banners for Tico, Carola made 20. Jon saw them and asked Carola what she want, too bad it didn’t happen but at least Tico saw them and enjoyed it. Bad name was followed by Wild in the streets, Living on a prayer and Everyday the energy was there, the electric was there, Jon told us Munchen was amazing and he would make it again amazing. The first surprise came right after Everyday, Lay your hands on me again, the song sounded much better then in Oostende, there was more power in it. The crowed went nuts and Jon enjoyed it. He kept on walking around on stage with a big smile on his face. The kept on going with Keep the faith, Wanted dead or alive and my personal favourite In these arms, cause we were right in front of David and pointing at him all the time. He went down on his knees for me. It was great, the first time I was too surprised and forgot to take a pic, so went again and let me take a pic hope it is a great one. I was in heaven. In these arms was followed by It’s my life and everybody was jumping, the hole stadium shaked. Bed of roses was next, the first time I heart it this tour and it sounded wonderful, so full of emotions. The went on with the distance so we still could stay on cloud number 9. And I am still there now when I am writing this. Runaway was next, and don’t know if it was the energy, the crowed or just Jon but he forgot a part of the song and blamed Donna, Shari and Julia for it. It was really funny to see him being ashamed and making fun of that. After runaway he said asked if we mind if he was changing the setlist and what the hell did he think, no problem at all. So they started playing Diamond ring….. I stared crying and couldn’t stop, I was so happy to hear it, but they didn’t stop after diamond ring, they followed with Heroes by David Bowie. Okay second time I heart it but man, the stadium was not big enough, everybody seemed to enjoy the show and the band showed us so much energy and power. WOW this would be the one and only best show I felt it. Thank god he gave us some time to get back to earth cause we ended up in heaven… with Someday I’ll be saterday night and Just Older. Then he handled over the microphone to Richie for his version of I’ll be there for you. This time even the scream was in it. This night was magical. But the next crying moment set in after I’ll be there for you, I guess half the first row was crying when they started to play Something to believe in. Jon was in front me almost on his knees, and all I could do was cry, thank god I took some pictures. We all were still emotional and they started Undivided with the slow intro….man what did he want, us to die….this night never should end anymore. Okay we had some time to rock with Born to be my baby, Sleep when I’m dead again a medley with Rocking all over the world. During this song Donna and Julia had an amazing dance. Girl it was great to see. Wonderful and Jon got a lady on stage to dance with. All I can say he was in a great mood and wanted to go on and on and on. So we did with Raise your hands. Then he left the stage for the first time. Man I needed a drink and somebody to catch me, if I would fall down. LOL The encore started with Misunderstood followed by Captain Crash, during this song some fans had a confetti fight. It was great to see them having so much fun. Jon said something got him, he went nuts finally and asked for a doctor, well what do you think was next? YEAH Bad medicine, during shout Tico stood up so we could see him after every BAM to see Jon too. What happened, Munchen is an amazing city but that it would be this perfect? And it wasn’t ended…..Jon introduced the band to us and then they came to say goodbye. They stood there and didn’t want to go so they packed up their guitars and started These days. And then for the record Jon said Twist and Shout. Then after 3 hours and 5 minutes the show was over. We were all on cloud number 9 and just stood there waiting till we woke up. Then slowly we moved out the stadium to the parking lot and said down there to talk about it. Around 1.30 am we left for our hotel. Cause we had to drive back a long way. We said goodbye to some friend all ready. I just want to thank them for all they did. I gonna miss you guys. For all the others….. See you in London can’t wait! |

Thanks a lot for the review, it seems to me it was the best concert so far, considering the setlist, the guys' mood, the crowd, etc. BTW, what do you mean by "this time with the scream in it" in I'll be there for you??? Was it Richie???
|
I don't know, but the scream was there... I was suprised. I guess it was richie. Somebody can help me out??
|
I was the screaming one...lol
Your review puts me back on cloud # 9 It was amazing |
:D
Nice review. Fair to say it's probably the best show of the tour so far. Do you think they can keep it up in time for London? Tom |
