London review
Never say goodbye in London….
Where should I start, my tour is over now. It’s all over and I wish I could start it all again right now. I miss my friends most of all. I miss the queing and fun we all had. But this is not what I should write down now. I promised some people a review of the London gig so that’s what I am trying to write now! Well after a small delay we arrived around 8 pm in Hyde Park. We got number 63 and 64 in line. Some of my friends were all ready there. We had some talks and Luca and I decided to get some food and a pizza. So we went down and bought some stuff. After that we got our sleeping bags and stuff from the hotel. When we got back more friends were there and we made a small party. And no Late I wasn’t drunk, you were stealing all the drinks. LOL! Taija and Laura came over to talk and so we all sat down on our plastic and sleeping backs and had a great time. Around 2 or 3 pm we went down to get some sleep. I woke up around 5 am and found out that my little devil friend was freezing her ass of. We had some talks and I got changed and mom went for some food and left our sleeping bags at the hotel. A long day of waiting started for the last time. Mom went in line for our tix and I sat down with some friends. We chatted and had fun. I even helped colouring a banner with SHAROOON on it. I still don’t get what it is for but…. We had a cool time. Took some pix together and had some fun. The day went by quickly and then Kevin came to let us in. Well last time, last shot for front row…. Then Mom and Carola got an early entrance….. wowowoowowow I was happy for them. But some people couldn’t stand it and were bashing me so much that I decided to go back in line to some friends. So I entered the pit as number 200 something. But my nice 2 Finnish friends and TOM the best guy in the world I know… okay some are cooler but TOM you made my day. Had saved me a spot in the front row near David. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! All 3 of you. I was again front row. 9 times front row. MAN this tour rocked anyway. Live was again amazing to see. I will miss these guys too. The were the best supportact I ever seen. Think they have some more fans now among the jovifans. Well after live the stage was made ready and we made ourselves ready to rock. The opened for sure with Bounce. Well the last show of the European tour started and we rocked. Bounce was followed by You give love a bad name. Jon seemed in a good mood and was smiling, bouncing around the stage. The showed us so much power and energy right from the start. Followed with Runaway and everyday. The crowed went crazy and loud. The band was smiling. The show promised to be a good one. And next was prayer my personal all time favourite, man I love the song from the bottom of my heart. The slow intro introduced undivided the song has an emotional power and carola and I were holding up our American Flags and Jon looked at them and smiled, same for Dave. Next was Faith… looking back and see everybody raise their hands was amazing…. The show was better then I could have expected. Man I would miss this so much… and now I can say I do! Then the bon jovi song… Made hyde park rock and never forget that bon jovi was there… Wanted seeing nearly 100.000 people sing the first part put the best smiles on the faces of Jon and Richie they seemed proud. Next was Lay your hands on me, the distance, misunderstood, saterday night and just older. The kept on going and going. Then richies turn, with I’ll be there… I loved to hear him sing this tour and man I felt sad to know it was the last time this tour to hear him sing…. Thank god my favourite Dave song was next.. In these arms, Dave stood up and smiled to me… when I made the moves I was making at all shows. We just smiled and had a great time. The next song made the 2 Finnish girl go wild Born to me my baby. Followed by Sleep when I’m dead. Donna and Julia I love the dance you have!! Just want to let you know! The the surprised of the night… LOLA with ray davis. Man good to see him back on stage with the band and the song rocked hole London. The curfew was nearly there and with the encore starting with Captain Crash we all knew it probably would be over soon. And we were even more sure when Bad medicine came next with Shout…. But…… Jon said **** the curfew you need to bail me out… and the started playing blood on blood…. Followed by I got the girl and guess what the kids came on stage and danced with Jon. It was so cute to see Ava dance all the time and Steph knowing all the words I loved to see it. But still the show went on with These days, and some more twist and shout. Now it was over. The band was saying goodbye… But our screaming and clapping and LUCA’s banner… yeah you rock and are blamed for making me cry…. Made them sing Never say goodbye… the first tone made me crying and the hole song I was crying. The band looked down many time….. Well it was over now. I was crying and hugging all my friends. We went out and sat down in the grass and kept on talking about the show and how much we would miss eachother. We went for some food and went down to our hotels.. It was over…. Sunday morning we went down to the hotel and met again some friends…. We saw tico and hugh came out. And sunday night we had a goodbye party with some friends. The tour ended great.. I met so many nice people and miss them all like hell. The made this tour worth every penny I paid for it. And if I could start it all over again right now I would….. Thanx to Carola, Kat, Angel, Sabi, Pia, Dianne, Inge, Neo, Jenny, Steph, Luca, Kelly, Nath, Maryan, Kenny, Taija, Laura, Mike, Tom, the devil aka richies little devil, Late, Teemu, Rebekka, Wieteke, Saskia, Fleur, Karin, Donna, Shari, Julia, Kat, Gary and all of those I forget but made sure I had a good time….. Hope to see you all soon….. Love you all and miss you so much! |
Thank you for this review which was a pleasure to read.
On a site replete with so many complaints sometimes it's nice to read a review by someone who had a good time and remembered what it's really all about! |
Thanx london was the best end I could wish for my tour....

by the way, this lady was watching the concerts as part of the group of bon jovi haters. she posted nearly an identical review to others, yet you still chose to pick up on the slight change in details from the other reviews. and thank you marijke. |
Thank you, great review. I did enjoy reading it as it brought back lost memories from the show.

Too bad I wasn't there. Linda |
Holding on we've got to try
holding on to never say goodbye I can't believe it, but I'm reliving it again (after reliving it so many times already) And I can't believe how much I miss the atmospheare, and you guys, and everybody there... And Live, and Bj, and just all of it... I miss even the queuing for the tickets (never thought I'd do that, but with the Israeli girls in front of me with their sabbatt, the German girl behind me with her red hair and the attitude, Anja and Danythere, who really made me smile, and of course Mike when he showed up after we'd been searching for him all night and day), it was a lot of fun  So much I miss about the tour, but London is probably the one I miss the most! Great review Marijke, as you see it brought me back right to the spot ;) |
Thanks for the great review
I´m glad someone here had this great chance  |
Great review Marijke! you summed up what it was all about.
So they didn't play I'd die for you or homebound train, but do we care? Nooooooo!! the show rocked!!!!!!!! Can't wait till the next European tour. :) |
