What Has To Go??????
with the new tour coming up, won't bon jovi have to take a few songs off their setlist from CRUSH and OWN? just to make room for the amount of BOUNCE singles they'll release. if they do, which songs will they ditch? stuff from CRUSH? SWW? NJ? or maybe they'll just increase the show and play all the songs they usually do, and more. what do u think? cya round
brijovi, rock and roll EVERYDAY. |
I doubt they ever would do it, but I would be THRILLED if they left Bad Name off the set list. To me, that song live is a big disappointment. The music has never sounded as good live as it does on the studio version. I know, I've committed blasphemy, but that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it! LOL

I have to agree on Bad Name. It sounds too watered down nowadays. Even though the crowd sing a long is fun. Honestly, I could do without Bad Medicine as well. And I think Blaze has run its course too.

Becky, I totally get your point. I donīt like the current live version of "Bad Name" either. But I like it in the 80sī live era.
They will probably leave a lotta songs out of the forthcoming tour. I think "Captain Crash" and "Say It Isnīt So" will be among them. |
I thought Bad Name was great in the 95-96 tour when it followed LOAP. It is also a great one to sing along to & the Solo from Richie is excellent. However maybe it has run its course now, & hasn't got the same energy it used to. I can't see it being dropped however.
I also think 'sleep when I'm Dead' dosn't have the energy it used to either & should perhaps be dropped. Maybe I am in a minority with Bad Medicine - but I still think its great live. It would be nice if BJ slipped in a couple of less well known tracks in (ie: Woman in Love or Homebound train) - perhaps a couple of random ones each show (they have enough time) - just to keep each show unique. I think that they'll keep IML & Just Older as staples from Crush & replace the others with songs from the new album. Either way I don't really care - it'll still be a great show!! Mike |
I hope they lose bad medicine, or put the chorus of it in between some other song for a medley. And indeed, Sleep is nothing special anymore.
But here's hope: Maybe they won't stop playing any of those songs but just play them the way they should, so everybody can enjoy them again! |
I agree with Meggar. I think that probably Crush songs will be the ones to go. You have to consider that we are true fans and enjoy most of the songs. There are the other people who go to a concert to see "nostalgic" songs performed. People who have never heard songs like "Hush" or Everyday People" or even "Bitter Wine." They cannot alienate that segment of their audience. Just a thought. There is a large number of people who only want to hear Bad Medicine, Livin on a Prayer, and Runaway. I do agree that I would love to hear a more mixed up setlist than previous shows.

i hope that they leave the crush songs off... i don't like the album; i also hope that they play less hits i think about 7 are enough pro concert- just hits that anyhow makes the hits unspecial- but i hope that they'll play a few songs from TD- i'd love to hear it's hard letting you go or my guitar lies bleeding or damned... with a look at the last two tours set-lists i fear that they have forgotten this album :D ; i also think that they should one REAL old song from bon jovi or fahrenheit... for those who have been BJ fans since they exist and for those who think BJ is a pop-band
ta-ta! martin |
I agree with Martin2000.
The Fahrenheit record is one of my favs. From that old era (first 2 albums) I wish they played "Runaway" (cīmon, by far one of their most powerful songs to play live) and "Only Lonely" (it would be a dream come true for me if they played this one). I personally love those songs, itīs just so hard rock, it bangs live :D |
