Am i still a fan?
After reading lots of discussions about the 'new' bon jovi, since 2000 (and i'm glad to found this board.. rather honest discussions than the crap on backstage but that's something else)
Anyway I'm one of those who doesnt like the new BJ. I don't like crush & bounce at all. I've been to a couple european shows on the crush, own & bounce tour, and although they are still good, IMO they arent half as good as they were/are. I still like the old tours and albums alot, and think in that period they were one of the best. Nowadays it's just simple crap for all different reasons (not real rock, too much comp stuff, not as energic, no richie, dave & tico at their best capability, age, enthousiame etc etc etc) So I'm a still a fan although i just like the old days? |
still a fan of course
more of a fan in some ways |
Of course you'd be still a fan! Just because you don't like their newer stuff, doesn't mean anything - only that you've got an opinion 8)

There's no description what a fan is. As long as you call yourself a fan you are a fan. If you say I'm not anymore than you are not anymore. It's your own personal thing and nobody can answer this question.

being a fan doesn't mean you just love everything they do. it's better to be critical. i think you show them more respect that way rather than being a blind follower.
it's not that i don't like crush or bounce at all but i too think they were so much better in the past. we're just being objective. nothing more. |

Of course you are still a fan as long as you feel you are one. You don't have to be a muppet by liking and agreeing with everything said & done as far as Jovi goes! Personally, I like the stuff from the later 80's to mid 90's myself much better than the material of late, but that's ok. We can all have our opinions and favorite eras.
