Which songs don't help you workout in the gym?

Ok, we've had a topic about what songs are best to work out to, so I thought I find out what songs your gym likes to play that really don't help you feel the pump!

I've just joined a new gym, and they think its a good thing to play Enrique Englesias - Hero, and the dance version of Que sera sera(sp?) Whatever will be will be....

Needless to say, I've had words with the management, but they're stubborn ****ers

Anything by the Goo Goo Dolls, they aren't very motivating.

my gyms just play stuff off the tv so its either mtv or the box allowing a lovely mix of the cheeky girls, justin and kylie.

not exactly stuff to get psyched to.

justin timberlake - bastard

(back to what does help - i find any sort of rock music... the faster the better i suppose so homebound train :) anything by iron maiden, some deep purple stuff, a lot of Rainbow stuff, or some Sabbath/DIO music - donnington 87 rocks particularly hard)... what else:

scorps - tokyo tapes
whitesnake - live tokyo 88
springsteen oddly enough (acoustic stuff - i've done that)
my own 65 min prog rock album "reflections"

MSG are good too - i should put them on minidisc

but that being said i don't intend to do more than maybe 1 hour on the running machines and music's not as important for the other machines so it doesn't matter to have a big compilation

Yeah, that sounds like the playlist my gym insists on giving us!

Nice sig Tom! That is a great song to work out too!

letitrock 07-19-2003 05:05 PM

that it is

also last summer i went to buy the rising first day, straight onto MD and straight to the gym

it's an album that grew on me a little - but it's still not spectacular - live i think it works great though

The problem is that I don't do much cardio in the gym, so I can't use a minidisc. So I'm just stuck with the crap that the managers think will help the old ladies ride a bike for 5 minutes. Damn commercial gyms!!

i don't feel like a man yesterday after doing that adductor thing (inside thighs)

walking around is agony
