Damaging Storm!

Quote:

Kinzua Bridge, a 2,053-foot railroad bridge (viaduct), is a famous Pennsylvania landmark and is designated a National Engineering Landmark. When this viaduct was built in 1881, it was the world's highest and longest railroad bridge at 301 feet tall and 2053 feet long. An excursion train travels through the Allegheny National Forest and to the bridge.
Not anymore! Now, because of the storm that ran through it Monday, it completly collapsed - I think it's hilaroius, because it's one of the great things in PA and my dad said it was the biggest bridge this side of the Mississpi  but i don't know if that's true. but now our annual picnic in the fall there doesn't seem to be happening :( but it's still funny :D it was a beautiful place to visit in the fall, because of the leave colors and all -- now only pictures remain of it

But that storm was so great! I thought it was beautiful weather, but i'm one of the few that think so -- there were trees and power lines down toward the town next to us - lots of people don't have power now - including my cousins  hee hee! The power loss is only funny, because it's my cousins it happend to :) If it were me, then i'd be crying right now because my computer was useless, and it would be my cousins who were laughing.

I LOVE STORMS! :D

It collapsed?! Well.. being a good hundred years old.. Wow. I remember going there when I was younger.. I think.. wow... hmm.. Oh well.. They will rebuild it! :D And it will collapse again!

Oh, Keba! Dont say that! We have to build a bridge, that runs straight through downtown, and it would be nice for it last longer than a few days! The Hickory Street bridge connects two parts of town, the South side to the rest - and the people that live there, Moosie and my father included, have to use a two mile detour to get around to the main avenue. That stupid bridge! :x But the new one is suppose to be alot nicer and fancy. Which would be good..

My cousin said that he was watching CNN one day and the Hickory Bridge was on there during a segment of rundown bridges! We only get on the news and are famous for our bridges!

 That would've been crazy! At least if was 4 days before and not the day it collapsed. That wouldn't have been good!
Your's sounds more daring then what mine would -- you were on Tacoma Bridge 4 days before it collapsed, and i was on Kinzua Bridge half a year before it collapsed :P

Really!? Wow! That's the second time i think our town/city/whatever the hell it's called has ever been mentioned on tv  the one time was on TRL a while ago when Carson was interviewing a not-so-well-known-band, and they said that the smallest concert they have ever played was at our town :P When only 15 people attended

Our town, reincarnation, used to be famous for it's lucious trees and oil and booming business about 100 years ago, but now it's famous for it's crumpling bridges

They're going to blow it up in August!! :D But with our luck...it would probably be the first week, when we're gone   That would be sad - My sister had to come back home to get her car fixed, and she missed the explosion of the old stadium in Pittsburgh a while ago

I wasn't actually there, Moosie. It didn't even happen in the same state that I live in. I think it happened before I was even born. I just read about it online a couple years ago while doing research for a school project.

We are very expressive people. :P

And at least it wasn't a bright color like
yellow
cyan
or violet

That would drive me insane.

Some people do that, but i don't mind it when they do - They're being different 8) I like it when different colors are being used :P But that's my opinion.
