Favorite Quote?

Does anyone have a favorite quote that they love? Or a current favorite quote?

My favorite current quote is (mine usually change as I forget them and move on to newer and brighter things):

I have found it impossible to carry the heavy burden of responsiblity... without the help and support of the woman I love.
-Edward VIII, King of England, his Abdication Speech, 1936-

I think thats sweet! :D

it's nice

but let's not forget that if he had it his way the Nazis probably would have been given a free hand in Britain so long as he could keep his position and his early "Hello" photospreads

Maybe not my very favourite...I don't know if I have one of them, but here's one I like a lot:

Pop music often tells you everything is OK, while rock music tells you that it's not OK, but you can change it. There's a defiance in rock music that gives you a reason to get out of bed in the morning. Most pop music doesn't make you want to get out of bed, I'm sorry to say. It puts you to sleep. -Bono

From the Simpsons camp

Flanders : Looks like your missing a jigsaw piece there Homer
Homer : Looks like your missing a wife
Flanders : well I didn't see that one coming

From the Shakespeare camp

"Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greateness thrust upon them"

From the spinal tap Camp

"What we're trying to say in our music, is love your brother; Well we're not actually saying it, we don't really mean it...... but we're not racists"

You dont have to go much further than our own Prince Phillip for some classic quotes;

"The problem with London is the tourists. They cause the congestion. If we could just stop tourism we could stop the congestion.."

(1995 - To a Scottish driving instructor in Oban) "How do you keep the natives off the booze for long enough to pass their test?.."

(c. 1990 - To a British ex-pat in Hungary) "You can't have been here that long, you haven't got a pot-belly yet.."

George Bush

The problem with the French is that they have no word for entrepreneur

Also, I was told this one, seems almost unbelievable.

"Don't dis-underestimate me" - Is he being very intelegent here and ironically playing to his critics??? I'm guessing not

Heres a couple more Homor quotes;

"I'm going to the backseat of my car with the woman I love, and I won't be back for TEN MINUTES."

"You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is 'never try'."

"It's not easy to juggle a pregnant wife and a troubled child, but somehow I managed to fit in eight hours of TV a day."
