What does ppl stand for?

It stands for people. I dont use nor like the term much myself. Are people really that lazy and cant even type the word people? :roll:

Yeh ppl means People. I use it in txt messages as well

Totally agree!! I even hate shortening in text messages.. just doesn't seem right..

I know! I do the same, I usually just skim over it when my friend's do it :roll: , but if I am in a chat room and people start saying ppl - I start going on about how people are just going to start talking in numbers and letters, and how its really not that hard to type the full word. :roll:

The one that really got me was gr8 and str8.. took me forever to work them out! Didn't save any time at all in the end, as I'm trying to work out what people are saying to me!! :lol:

yeah but if you shorten lots of words in a text message, then u can get an extra sentance on the end, so you can say more. Geeez, get in the lingo ppl! :wink:

My phone automatically goes to a next page, don't need to shorten things!! I refuse to learn another version of the English language!! :lol:

Then sometimes they think of new ones with the 8 in there. I hate those! :x Its not that hard to write out the whole word! :lol: I don't like how some people spell things wrong on purpose like girls. It is girls! Not gurls! :x
