Bon Jovi Concert Stages
Anyone knows a link where to find bon jovi stage pictures of their headliner tours (from Slippery to Bounce)? I’m trying to have technical information about them…
Thank you all in advance. |
Right... You might get some factual information for the Crush tour and up. But anything before 1995 is the dark ages on the net. Even 1995 is pretty damn hazy. Anything you find about the Slippery tour though Keep The Faith on here is pretty much heresay and speculation. Why just last week the report was how they were staring the show with Raise Your Hands into Let It Rock on the Slippery tour. Whatever. Believe me...if there is a link for what you are looking for and it's actually fact based and knows what it's talking about..I'll be all over that site myself. |
well i know what they all look like it's just how do you type that?
just off bootlegs you can see 'em - from your basic apollo gigs in the UK 84-86 which weren't very impressive, but had a high drum riser, and stairs running up to the back to the moving and spinning drum and keyboard platforms of 1993 |

On the '95 tour they had an inflatable juke box, chuck berry pitures and elvis stuff and actual on stage bars where fans would literally sit up at the bar. - Then at one end of the stage they had a huge inflatable elvis figure and the other side a huge chicken woman! lol |
And lest we forget the U-shaped drop-down catwalk that went way-out over the crowd for the Jersey tour!
Or, the island out at the mixing booth where Jon 'flew' out to using the cable for SWW tour!! I remember those huge inflatables for These Days, what was up w/that? -Guns |
Slippery had the trapeze rig for Jon and the old Bon Jovi logo on the stage. It also had the mini stage that Jon would "fly" over to. See the Never Say Goodbye clip.
Jersey had a huge Slippery/superman logo and had the massive catwalk - see the Lay Your Hands On Me clip for details. Can't remember much about the Faith stage, except here in Oz it had a smallish catwalk down the middle. These Days was the awesome blow-up props and the Dean Martini bar etc. |
Thank you guys. I have an idea of how the stages was, I’ve seen them live during the Faith/These Days/Crush and Bounce tours. It’s a pity that there’s no one with this curiosity…..
There’s one thing I know…they rent the stages. For example a big part of the indoor Crush stage was used by Pink Floyd some years ago. I think that official bon jovi site could open a special section about this, with pictures, technical information, light systems, special effects (fireworks and enflatables) and so on…for indoor and outdoor stages. Or maybe Peter……. Se you soon. |
A cool one was the circus theme from 1996

That is news to me about the Pink Floyd stage. Where did you hear about that? For real..I'm just as interested in this stuff as you...I'm looking to get into Lighting / Stage Production Design. It's frustrating when it comes to Bon Jovi on the net. If you are a KISS fan (and I am)....you have no problem getting all kinda of technical details all the way back to the beginning in 1974. You can't get this kind of detail about Bon Jovi from 1985! |
It was on an italian rock magazine when the Crush tour started. But it wasn't the first time to me hearing something like that. I remember when I saw Rolling Stones in 1995 in Montpellier one French friend o mine told me something similar about the Stone's stage (in my opinion one of the best ever in rock scenes).
I've got a couple of Kiss records so I can't be scheduled as a fan...anyway the unplugged is simply great!. I'm keep on searching on the net. In the case I'm gonna find something I won't miss to give some news on this board. |
