my bad |
he'll have been talking about the last UK census that was done last year.
u know u get asked whereu stay, age religion etc... people started emailing and writing into papers saying if we get more than 10,000 people putting their religion down as Jedi then it has to be officially recognised as a religion. one of my mates got his full family to do it and when they added everything up there were more people claiming to be Jedis than Sikhs. but, jedi isn't recognised as a religion because it doesn't have religious properties like places of worship n stuff like that. so yes there is more Jedi's than sikhs in britain, quite sad really |

I don't see how The Force can be considered any less believable than an almighty power in the sky that sits back letting wars happen and people die.
I don't believe anything religious, looking at things in a logical way, and I know everyone is entitled to believe what they wish, but as a race we are too inteligent to need religion now. Religion would have begun as a simple explanation for people who couldn't comprehend science. In some places it still happens; tribes in the amazon worship the sun, because they don't know what we know; they think it to be an almighty god, because they know no different. We are now at the point where we can explain a lot of how our universe came to be, so why do we need to believe that an almighty power created it? |
it would appear we have a budding young david hume on our hands mr anderson.
u have a totally valid point there. |
