The Real Reason Behind The Accoustic Shows?
Laziness.
Let's be honest. It's a lot of work to put on the show that Jon puts on every night. He's got more energy than Bahgdad (at least at the moment). The man can flat out entertain, but he's getting tired and this is an easy way out. "Is it really about the fans, Jon, or are you just takin' a break?" *For the record, I loved the accoustic show in Minneapolis and certainly recommend it* |
It's probably somehow promotion for the upcoming Acoustic-CD.

i think it has something to do with the lack of attendance at some of those shows

I suppose the promotion of the accoustic show is a valid reason. I liked the show because like everyone else here, I'm a die hard.
On the other hand, I felt the people I brought to the show were a little disappointed because it was there first show and I was promising 2 1/2 hours of action. |

I think it's good that they changed it around a bit. And of course they need to promote the new album or at least give people a taster of what's to come. Tash |
And also, it's the second leg of the USA tour, they're giving the fans something different from what they experienced months ago.For whatever reasons, you're very lucky!!

And just maybe, they tried it in Kiel as a one off, then when they got a brilliant response decided that the fans would like to hear more of it.
Besides, as a singer, I know that to sing acoustic can sometimes be harder because you have to concentrate more. In a rock song you can just blast it out roughly in tune and it'll sound good. For a more quiet acoustic song, if your voice isn't spot on it's noticed much more, so in some ways acoustic is harder work. |
