Jon confirmed it...

He did buy an arena football team. Some people on Backstage heard a local AM sports radio program and they asked Jon about it. He said the details would be announced soon.

Well - next time u see him (anyone), let him know that Nottingham Forest (my local club) aren't very financially well off & a few Million £'s wouldn't go amiss in getting them back on track!!!!

It's arena football, not the American football you are thinking of. They play inside for arena football.

Whats arena football? I know american football and I know normal football, but ive never heard of arena football :?

It's pretty much just American football. Only real difference is that it is played in an indoor arena (hence the name) and that the field is only 50 yards instead of 100. There are some other differences in the rules and regulations too, but the field is the biggest.

I know he's rich, but buying a football team is still pretty damn expensive nonetheless isn't it?

$20 million or so. According to the interview though he does have a partner (he didn't say who) so he only owns 50% of it.

Here's a link to the interview for anyone who wants to hear it: http://www.wfan.com/chrismikeaudio
