Tell about the pets in your avatar!
I love seeing everyone's pets. I thought it would be nice if we all shared a little bit about our pets since we're displaying them in our avatars.
The black tabby in my avatar tonight is my cat Tino (Zachary Santino Elvis Bongiovi the Cat). My great aunt Val found him when he was just a tiny kitten on top of a well house behind her house. The only way he could have gotten there was to have been dropped by a hawk or some other predatory bird. He traveled back and forth to college with me when Colleen and I had an apartment in Alabama. I once discussed his whatness and thisness in great detail on a philosophy test. He's my oldest cat and was an "only cat" until 2000. I bet he wonders what the hell happened and why so many other cats have joined him. He puts up with the dogs better than he does the other cats. Becky |

Well in my avatar as you can see I have Richie Sambora, i dont have any pets but if i could i'd have a staffordshire pitbull terrier, they are the nicest breed of dog around and if i could afford one thats what i'd have :) |
As soon as I figure out how to make a picture small enough to turn it into an avatar, I'll tell you all about my dog.

The cat in my current avetar is Snickers - yes, named after the candy bar. She is cat number 2 - who we didn't need. She was about 6 weeks old and cowering in a parking lot when we found her the day after Christmas. She had had a run in with a skunk, was skinny and filthy, and had an upper respiratory infection - not very appealing. However Christmas in Jersey is very cold and as soon as we opened the car door - she jumped in. The rest is history. After a million vet bills for the free cat she is a happy and healthy 6 year old. She does however act more like a dog than a cat. She begs for food like no other cat I have ever seen - probably from being half starved as a kitten. She prefers sleeping with my daughter because she doesn't mind sharing - I do.

My Gypsy is now 13 years old, when i took her home i was 15 !! she was 2 months old. I was living in a portuguese community and everyone has his own dog to protect himself, my bf was doing his best to make of her a dangerous dog, it was horrible, sometimes she was really bad to protect me, she (because i can't say it for my dog) was sleeping on the balcony, she was starving, and she was scared and beaten. I wasn't in love anymore with this guy after one week we had this young dog, i realised he was a monster, he was so violent. But this poor dog stayed a bit 'unpredictable" for a few months after this. With the help of his best friend (who wasn't anymore his friend after this) i finally escaped from him with my dog, he didn't want to let us go, he was crazy ! I found a tiny house with a BIG garden, and i lived there nearly a year with my dog, just us, we were sooo nice there ! and we stayed very close if you see what i mean with this friend who helped me, we were together since a bit of time when he's dead in a car accident, so Gypsy is all i have from him now. She's a lovely dog, with the kids she's awesome, she's a good guard but she's not dangerous at all !!!!!! i know if i tell her to catch someone, she'll do it but not with the same anger anymore. But i prefer fighting by myself and don't use my dog  I love her :D
