Why does Derek still feel the need to post here ?

Yeah, like the topic says, why does he still feel the need to post here ? I just don't understand that because of the following reasons :

1.) Everytime a topic comes up where people say negative things about Bon Jovi he suddenly appears to defend Bon Jovi.

2.) He's slagging other people for their opinion but when people slag him off for his opinion he starts defending himself by saying it's just his opinion and that we should actually respect that.

3.) He also feels the need to defend backstage. Most of us do not know why. He tells us not to come to backstage because we don't like it there, but it seems like Derek doesn't like it here too, so why does he still post here ?

4.) Almost everybody here thinks he's a gimp. Please people, do not come up with replies like "I don't think he's a gimp because he's just funny and etc..." Derek isn't funny. Derek is a gimp, and gimps are only funny because they're gimps. Which makes them not funny at all but just annoying.

5.) He never posts here to say just something about Bon Jovi, he always posts things to, like I said earlyer, slag people for their opinion.

6.) There's actually almost no one who takes his comments etc. serious. This guy is starting to be a joke, and a very annoying one.

So, maybe someone knows why he still posts here ?

I'm not going to disagree with anything you have said above, not because I agree, but because I can't be bothered to slag someone off that I don't know.

My question is, why do some people not want him to post and why do some resort to name calling just because he does not fall into a certain category?

You (not you personally) may not agree with how he posts or what he says, but he does usually have quite valid points. Yes, he can be quite negative, but so can the majority here aswell.

I have no problem with Derek posting here, just as I don't have problem with most people here. I do, however, have a problem with the continuous b****ing and slagging off that all of us tend to do. I think the gimp calling has also reached a level that it is not even funny anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it would be any fun if there were no argumentsand discussions, but I assume that we are all adults, or try to act like one so how come we cannot have a civilised discussion without resorting to playground antics...?

Agreed. It started off as a joke but it really has got out of hand. We dont want anyone to stop posting on here, lets keep the discussions about Bon Jovi or the original topic and not have to resort to personal insults and name calling to get the point accross.

Derek doesnt lie and or write false posts , unlike some people Seb!!!!!
Derek gives an opinion , an opinion is an opinion whether we like it or not its worth more than any pathetic lie or windup .

I think the bigger question is, why do people who can only find fault with the band continue to post here? Why not move on and find a band that they actually like?

It's a free postboard. Derek makes valid points, the only difference is he's positive toward the band whereas a lot of people are not. He's more articulate than some and has a biting sense of humor. But if someone can't take the heat, they shouldn't challenge him.

Are there playground type behaviors? Yes. But that's been going on here long before Derek arrived on the scene. Just like a playground, if someone is tired of playing, they can take their toys and go home.
