i didnt go, i got a bit of it on the radio and it sounded quite cool...dunno, not really into chilis and foos, but david gray and even dando sounded cool :wink:

campings the best part of festivals man, just a great excuse to get liquored up, meet new people and see all the stuff that goes on at these things. i actually ended up fighting with some guys in the campsite at t in the park this year but in 3 years thats the only trouble ive ever had and u just camp away from the portaloo's preferably not down wind of them.

going to pick up some tickets for the gig on the green thing with the chilli's n foo's on saturday, just get a case of beer or cider, find a tout and sit with some mates outside glasgow green getting hammered till my girlfriend comes in after work. should be a good day,.

Ive always fancied going to a festival but am put off by camping (using portaloos all weekend isnt my idea of fun :? ) Also I dont like the idea of seeing a load of bands who only play for less than an hour, Id prefer to just see one band who i really like and hope i get lucky with the support acts.

its worth it even for the atmosphere. the porta loo's can be minging but us belonging to the superior gender have the ability to go round the back of them to piss whereas the lesser sex do not. for everything else u just have to hover.

the least a band will play will be 25 minutes and thats at the very start of the day, the sets get progressivly longer as the day goes on so ur headliners will get nearly 2 hours. it's a good way to see alot of bands u like and discover some new ones.

and it should be illegal not to camp at the festivals, it just doesn'tfeel right if u don't.

when gig on the green was a 2 day thing at glasgow green there was no camping so u went home on the saturday night and came back into town on the sunday morning and it just didnt have the feel or atmosphere at t in the park.

a gang of my buds r heading down to leeds this weekend but i really dont think the line ups much cop so ive sat this one out.

Im surprised this years Leeds festival is going ahead after all the trouble last year. I would have been tempted to go as it isnt far from where I live, but its not worth all the hassle. My mates are going on Friday night but the only decent band on is metalica.

anyways my mates have went down the past 2 years and said the 1st years riot was class but last year portaloo's right next to their tent got set on fire so they couldn't gop and cos a ruckus cos they had to make sure non of their shit got set on fire.

it's moving to a different site next year anyways and they've apparently hired portaloo's that can't be set on fire. shame they didn't think about the 50,000 polyester tents and the massive fields they'll be in eh?

there'll probably be riots this time too, doesn't really seem like leeds without one but if they do it'll be lucky to get alicence next year no matter where they move it.

I wanted to go, couldn't afford it though. Sounds awesome though, glad you enjoyed it :D
