Where did you find the word and in what context is it used?? Maybe if people can see how it's used then, even if it's not spelt right, the meaning will become obvious.

just cos a word sounds strange, no need to think its german...either tho 99% of the time you would be right :P

It might have something to do with mining,as i typed it into AOL search and it came up with all german sites,that what made me think it was german :?

Do you maybe mean "Futteral"?

are you sure its not "Lateral" or something like this? Because that's a type of soil :)
