Ticketmaster employees - children of Satan?

Howdy all

My mum was trying to book Good Charlotte tickets for my sister this morning, she had an advert thingy saying tickets go on sale Wed 27th August at 9am. So my mum phones up for a while before 9 and at like 1 minute to 9 gets through.

Mum: Can I book 2 tickets to Good Charlotte at Brixton please?
Ticketmaster Zombie bloke: No, all sold out.
Mum: (narked off) Oh. (puts phone down)

Tries again about a minute later, hoping to get an intelligent life-form. All sold out.

She has a second number for Mean Fiddler and phones them up. Asks for two tickets.. Of course she can have 2 tickets, plenty left.

So, bit puzzled, she feels like ringing up Ticketmaster again and asking about it. So she rings....

Mum: 2 tickets for Good Charlotte at Brixton please..
Ticketmaster Zombie Woman: Sold out.
Mum: What, the whole place? Sold out?
Ticketmaster Zombie Woman: Afraid so.

So, mum decides to come out from her disguise as potential customer and tells the truth....

Mum: Hang on, how can you be sold out? The tickets only went on sale at 9am (by this time it's about 9.15am)
Ticketmaster Zombie Woman: They sell out very quickly.
Mum: Yes, but this is the 3rd time I've phoned up, the first time was just before 9am, the 2nd just after, how did you manage to sell out Brixton Academy in that time?
Ticketmaster Zombie Woman: As I said, they sell out very quickly.
Mum: This is ridiculous.
Ticketmaster Zombie Woman: I'm sorry, but I can't help you, no more tickets.

Mum chooses to terminate the conversation prematurely, as she feared for the existence of the phone's handset.

Before I allow my mum to unleash herself on those nice people at Ticketmaster, can anyone enlighten us any further? I mean, we wouldn't mind, but this was the main telephone line stated on the advert :?

I hate dealing with Ticketmaster. Last time I tried to buy with them, I wanted two tickets for Arsenal vs Farnborough. The guy took an age with the booking process, took my card details and everything, goes off somewhere, comes back, tells me that there's been an error with the computer and the order's been cancelled. So I say "that's ok, start again". So he says "sorry, it's all sold out now".

I know we've had Ticketmaster topics before, but they're really friggin annoying me now..

they're a law unto themselves which they've proved timed after time.

Just dont get me started on Ticketmaster. For me to booke 4 pairs of tickets last year I spoke to TM customer services about 2 dozen times.

As the bloke with the banner said "Ticketmaster are s***"

Ticketmaster is totally corrupt. They probably sold a bunch off to scalpers and then there are the ones that go out to employees of Ticketmaster and friends and then the rest go out to contests. Of course I don't know this for a fact, but certain shows sell out in 2 minutes! It is just crazy. One day somebody will bring them down..I hope.

This reminds me of my friend who got tickets to Bruce Springsteen's concert (which is arriving somewhere near here soon, I believe). Her tickets were good seats, and then Ticketmaster called and said that she could not have those tickets. Instead, she has been placed in the nose-bleed section. She isn't very happy about it at the moment.

How is that possible though??? I mean, you phone up, book certain tickets and then you pay.. they can't just go changing tickets at will!! That's really bad!
