Do you think it's....

Do you think it's possible for someone to fall in love with someone else on the internet?

RichieW2001 08-29-2003 06:09 PM

nope....

i know someone who has fallen in love over the internet TWICE!!!! but honestly- i don't think it's really possible- it might be a beginning but still you have to see and that person and go out and do sth... only chatting and writing mail is by far not enough i think

RichieW2001 08-29-2003 06:11 PM

you need interaction.

Becky 08-29-2003 06:14 PM

Yes, I do. But I think you have to have real physical contact to know if it can work.

Still, I don't think I'd actively seek to fall in love over the internet. You only have an image, not a reality. No matter how close to real the image is, it's not the same.

Aloha !

Partly yes, partly no.

Yes because when you talk to someone about more then 2 hours a day on MSN, and that goes on for weeks, and you never have a silent or dull moment, you know both of you share the same interests. You've got two options, become very good friends, like what happened between me and Thierry (no we're not in love. ;)) Or you can fall in love. Bút, it needs to be confirmed, so after you've met that particular person in real life and you know your "digital" feelings are right you fell in love with someone on the internet. That has happened to me twice. The first time didn't end so lucky, the second time didn't end at all.

No, because like Richie says, you need interaction, and when you say I love you to someone you've never met that goes a bit far. Though I know someone who could possibly say that about his girl he met thru the internet too. :) Oh and no not me.

Sebastiaan

Aloha !

And by the way, I'm not someone who's visiting and browsing dating sites and so on, desperately trying to get a girfriend. Yes, I've had girlfriends that didn't came of the internet. :)
