What would it be like...
 

If every one in the world were to give up their religion.It would be one less excuse for a war!and we would all be the same in one respect.I think it would save a lot of hatred what do you think?

i think it's good that we have such a diverse range of cultures and traditions. at the end of the day, if religion didn't exist, people would only find another excuse to fight.

diversity that scare alot of ppl, mostly cos they fera somethign which they dont know...i agree with who ever said that its not the religion which causes war, but the ppl who take it beyond its teaching. i think the basis of religion is good, helps for discipline and spirtual/self control.

Was thinking exactly the same!! Man is by nature destructive, we'd fight over something else.. sad.. but true..

I think that a lot of people in this world would be very lost without religion. Yes, there wouldn't be any religious wars, but like you guys already said, we'd just find something else to fight over (oh, like oil, perhaps....). I know many people in my family alone who depend on their faith in God to make it through tough times. Having religion in their lives gives many people hope that things will get better. I know that doesn't mean it's right, or that everyone has to believe the same thing, but just imagine how boring this world would be if we were all the same. Diversity is good.

been saying that around here for ages but i think certain things were always meant to exist and it was just a matter of someone finding them so to speak. maths is one, physics another and religion another.

probably the only thing plato ever came up with that i agree with.
