as I told before I am doing a project about music and everything that comes with it on school
The kids are really into this and came up with a poll and asked me to ask you. They already put this poll on soem other fansites so if you would be so kind to answer.
These are the questions

1. Did you ever see a fight during shows?
2. Do you think people who sleep outside are just maniacs or true fans
3 What would you do if the band split up?
4. can you name a difference between a BJ fan and other fans?
5. can you define "fan"
6. what is the atmosphere( right word?0 during shows?

8. in your opinion what`s the difference between a addicted fan and a groupie?

3 What would you do if the band split up? - i'd cry, but i wouldn't kill myself. i would get on with my life and remember the good old times
4. can you name a difference between a BJ fan and other fans? - i think many BJ fans are more dedicated than fans of other bands. most bands nowadays dissappear after their second album or so and fans don't follow them as much.
5. can you define "fan" - love for the music

8. in your opinion what`s the difference between a addicted fan and a groupie? - a groupie will do anything (sleep with the crew) to be close to the band, an addicted fan has 1000s of jon pics :wink: :lol:

No - but heard about one. Also a minor pushing incident at Wolves.... (Get back in line pushy German woman!!!!)

Hardcore would be the word I would use.

Haven't even thought about it.... Probably be like someone had died.

Don't know any other fans (outside of BJ fans) as devoted to a band as me.

Rotary machine that moves air around to create a cool breeze....

Eermm - Someone who gives up their time willingly to listen to / support a band.


Its the atmosphere that helps make the shows. Without an atmosphere, the live shows would be somewhat boring.

Plenty of times - but never at a BJ concert.

A groupie is someone who is in it for more than the music.

i had a minor incident where a woman complained i was too tall and she couldnt see?? god, not my fault :P

1. Did you ever see a fight during shows? yes, Jackson '89. It was a general admission show, way oversold, very crowded.

2. Do you think people who sleep outside are just maniacs or true fans: true fans with more free time than I have. LOL

3 What would you do if the band split up? Continue to follow their projects, primarily continue to follow Jon's and Dave's projects. I'd no longer feel obligated to buy Richie's stuff out of loyalty to Bon Jovi.

4. can you name a difference between a BJ fan and other fans? They have better taste in music than other fans!

5. can you define "fan" : whoever says they're a fan. It's personal. You can't judge other people by your personal standards.

6. what is the atmosphere( right word?0 during shows? Euphoric. Bon Jovi concerts bring people together, although there are people who are more interested in going after their 50th beer than watching the show. Jon is a mesmerizing performer. I went to shows this year with 3 people who were casual fans at best and all three left unable to stop talking about how amazing Jon was as a performer. I really didn't expect any of them to be as verbal about how much he impressed them as they were.

7.did you ever see crowdsurfing during a concert? No, but I have seen Jon go out into a concert crowd twice.

8. in your opinion what`s the difference between a addicted fan and a groupie? Groupies are in it for how close they can get to the band members and don't mind whoring themselves out to the crew for nothing. Addicted fans enjoy the music and the shows, but don't necessarily feel like they need to be "close" to the band. They realize the band are humans whose lives do not revolve around the fans.

2. Do you think people who sleep outside are just maniacs or true fans - neither...Somewhere in-between! They probably have a real good time...but I prefer to roll up just before show time, work my way forward, and enjoy...if I ever think about sleeping outside a venue all night...slap me.
3 What would you do if the band split up? - Nothing. Carp Diem.....enjoy it while it lasts.
4. can you name a difference between a BJ fan and other fans?- Yes....a BJ fan likes Bon Jovi...other fans don't.
5. can you define "fan" - someone who follows a certain artist / sporting star/team. It has nothing to do with how many times you've seen the artist, how many cd's you have, or how many posts you have on a message board. If you like them, and are interested in them, your a fan.

7.did you ever see crowdsurfing during a concert? - Not at a BJ show, no.
8. in your opinion what`s the difference between a addicted fan and a groupie?- it has nothing to do with opinion. A groupie is someone who sleeps with members of the band or road crew. I'm sure Bon Jovi had their fare share in the past, but these days it's probably only the crew who get to 'enjoy' the groupies! An addicted fan is just someone who follows the bands activities.

2. Do you think people who sleep outside are just maniacs or true fans? I think they are just fans who like to sleep outside. Seriously, probably a little of both. Personally, I don't think I'd stay outside all night for a concert. But, we also have assigned seating at virtually every show here in the States, so I wouldn't have to. It seems like it would be fun though and would be a great way to meet and bond with other Jovi fans.

3 What would you do if the band split up? Die! No, really...I'd be upset, but my life wouldn't end. I'd probably cry, but I'd still have years of music to listen to.

4. can you name a difference between a BJ fan and other fans? Jovi fans like Bon Jovi, other fans like other bands. LOL Not really.

5. can you define "fan"? Anyone who has a direct interest in a band and their music. Someone who follows their music through the years and has a real appreciation for the music as well as the artist making that music.

6. what is the atmosphere( right word?) during shows? Electric! No pun intended. For me, I get so lost and caught up in the show, I lose track of what's going on around me.

7.did you ever see crowdsurfing during a concert? Yes, but not at Bon Jovi.

8. in your opinion what`s the difference between a addicted fan and a groupie? An addicted fan is someone who follows what the band is doing all the times. They are probably someone always listening to Bon Jovi music. Someone who records television appearances and collects bootlegs. Has collections of Jovi merchandise and is just constantly "into" the band. Someone who won't get out of the car until the Jovi song is over on the radio, even though you have the song on CD, vinyl and cassette and has uncountable numbers of live versions of the song. Someone like me! LOL When I think of a groupie, I think of someone who is sleeping around with whoever it takes to get close to a band. Not necessarily because they like the band, but because they like the prestige of saying "I fu**** this person". To me a groupie has a negative connotation to it.
