I've been a huge Metallica fan for about 5 years now and I love everything that they have created!
From Kill 'em all to St. Anger everything kicks major ass! Not every band is willing to experiment with new ideas and styles, but Metallica have on this album and it's real heavy and real loud! IT ROCKS :twisted:
By the way I think Rob Rocks too!

I bought it the day it went out, and the first day, I only liked "frantic" and "st anger".
three months after, I don't like everything on it. the drums sound is the worst they ever had, but some stuff on it is cool: "my world", "dirty window", "invisible kid"... they are actually good songs. some others I don't like at all... I think a great emphatic song would have a good idea to close the album: "outlaw torn" is a good example.
here is what I would have excepted on this album:

st anger (an edit version a bit different than the radio edit)
one
diryt window
invisible kid (but not as long as it is)
my world
disposable heroes
sweet amber
the unnamed feeling
no leaf clover
outlaw torn

I put some old songs to replace the ones I don't like

Have You ever hit an emty bucket with a stick?
That's what the snare sounds like on this album.the songs are way repetitive and over done.What good is a 7 minute song if you just keep repeating the only 3 lyrics and 5 chords you hear in the first 2 minutes??
also I've heard demos that sound more produced than this sh*t.Did Bob Rock show up at all on the making of this album??
This sounds like it was done in a week by a new band that's trying to fit in to today's rock scene.I swear some songs are sthraight ripped off from Korn or even Limp Bizkit.
It's a really bad bad album by an amazing band who made a huge mistake.I guess going to rehab doesn't always do good for people.

frantic: love that song...soo diffrent lyrics & great guiters

st,anger:everyone knows that it"s the best song in the c.d.

some kind of monster:it"s a reall good old type of song

dirty windows: bad very bad song.....very over loaded

invicible kid: worst song

my world : guitres are good....average song

shoot me again: worst again

sweet amber: good song....i"ll like it

unnamed feeling: can"t get the song.....sorryy..worst

purify: goood song indeed,though it"s repeated music....

all within my hands: awesome.....reall good

they sound like linkin park in worst songs..but the whole album ain"t that bad

I'm a big Metallica fan and I think the album is terrible!! Sounds like it has been recorded in my bathroom!! I bought the album...listened to it about 10 times and still couldn't get into it so I gave it to a friend!! Who promptly gave it back to me a week later saying he didn't want to listen to rubbish like that!! I think out of all my friends who are Metallica fans there is only one of us who likes it!! Not sure where they have gone with this album? I watched a concert of theirs recorded in Germany (I have seen Metallica many times in concert) and thought that it was very boring. They used to be so good live!! Hey, maybe the next album will be good!! :D

Hey Aly - did u hear they are playing Earls Court 20th December?? Tickets go on sale on the 17th or 27th September I think!! I saw them in Reading a few weeks ago & they were amazing!! - Def. gonna try & get tix to Earls court
