Something funny today I saw in Liverpool, a few people stood outside Virgin with a big banner saying something like "God Is Love", and a guy spouting stuff like "You are the happiest person in the world when you have found Jesus", and I thought it was really funny, lol.

I have an odd sense of humour I know, but I think it's funny how people who follow mass religion try to get more and more people in...but then they would be the same people complaining about other religions who brainwash people into suicide missions. It's the same thing, just on different scales.

Kev 10-29-2003 12:35 AM

yeah i know waht you mean, as already seen in Jim's thread...people should be allowed to just believe in whatever religion that they were brough up to believe and to just leave everyone elase in peace. Why should it matter to them so much, that others should follow suit. It boggles me. I often see people preaching in liverpool city centre with a loudspeaker....if im drunk...il shout back at them! :P

Thomas Anderson 10-29-2003 12:38 AM

You ever seen the guy that walks around with the Pizza Hit poster on a stick? lol

I even saw him in the background of a recent news report on tv, lol.

Kev 10-29-2003 12:40 AM

lol, no i havent, but im gonna be on alert now.

^ should look out for the old homeless guy with a cardboard guitar, he is usually sitting down agianst a wall somewhere singing playing "air" guitar, but I always see him.

Thomas Anderson 10-29-2003 12:42 AM

I haven't seen the guy with the guitar, but have heard about him from other students, lol.

^ should see the Pizza Hut guy walking up and down Bold Street, as that's where he usually is, lol.

Kev 10-29-2003 12:45 AM

^ has a lot of knowledge about the goings on in and around liverpool city centre already!

Well sort of...I don't know many street names, but I have spent a bit of time wandering around, lol. There's a little record shop at the top end of Bold Street near the old church that has a load of vinyls, in good condition.
I got my first Bon Jovi vinyls from there in the past 6 weeks, lol.

Kev 10-29-2003 12:52 AM

LMAO! I used to love it in there. I got most of my videos from there, but i aint been in for ages. It used to be called Hairy Records. I remember seeing a japanese vynal of 7800 and In and Out Of Love about a year ago, but the guy wanted £40 so it was a bit out of my league really.

Thomas Anderson 10-29-2003 12:54 AM

It's still called Hairy Records, and they did have a few import vinyls of 7800 Fahrenheit and New Jersey (highly priced), but I managed to get Slippery When Wet and New Jersey for about £4 each, and even got a Limited Edition green vinyl 12" of Livin' On A Prayer.

It was £4.50, and the sleev was water damaged, but it plays fine, and none of them are scratched at all.
