Why oh Why?? can anyone answer this?!
 

Okok.. its the Hugh Mcdonald thing again here. We'v all had the discussion about why hes hardly credited as a 'real' member of the band i.e not in ANY photo shoots, gets hardly any screen time in the videos etc etc etc and i put it down to the ''well, he hasnt been with the band from the start so maybe he doesnt want to seem like hes just cashing in on the others sucess'' arguement. Well, apart from the fact that he has been with the band in some way since the start, what got me thinking was when i saw Metallica on TV the other day getting an award and their BRAND NEW bassist is up there on the podium in the limelight blabbering away! hes clearly visible in their videos and is considered as all a ''real'' member of the band.. whered Hughey go wrong??!! Is there sumthing in his contract which doesnt let him be a 'real' member? hes not in any of the albums photos, or the calenders, or interviews etc

Hugh also works for other musicians and is probably happy that he doesn't need to make photo shoots and stuff.

And sitting at interviews only for decoration like Tico and David usually do isn't probably very thrilling either. He is for sure happy with his situation. Otherwise he had quit his contract with Jon years ago. It's not that he would be unemployed without BJ.

I'm happy he is not an official member even i feel it's a bit strange!

Me either. I mean, who cares what stands in his contract. For most of the fans he is a part of the band. And that's what matters for us. Anything else is their business and not ours.

Yeah..perhaps he can't be an official member..or maybe he just does'nt want to be..at least in my mind, even if he isnt on the photoshoots..I know
good ol' hugh is there in the background of everysong contributing and without him..it wouldn't sound nearly as good!!

as he says it on his side he doesn`t seem to be that happy about not beeing an offical member. I think Hugh is cool and he should be on the posters and cd covers too. He admits by now that he plaid on every BJ record except Fahrenheit so how couldn`t he be a real member. And for looking smooth comon is Jon still locking like a real rockstar in his designr clothes?
