new album update

BON JOVI UPDATE FANS ON ACOUSTIC ALBUM:

Bon Jovi have been featured in a couple of separate press items this week. Thanks to Kurt for the info from a local Jersey paper, which details plans by the band for two special releases in the next year.

The first being an acoustic album due in November that will include at least two new songs and re-arranged versions of others, including It's My Life as a "pining ballad with different chords," Born to Be My Baby done up as a waltz, and a rendition of Keep the Faith minus the tune's signature bass line.
There also will be several cover songs. Though the track listing isn't finalized, Bon Jovi said works by John Hiatt, Steve Miller, Dr. Hook, and David Bowie are contenders.
I have to say that on further thought this doesn't sound too exciting. I have a few classic Jovi live tracks performed unplugged and really like what I hear. More of that I say! Throw away those covers and include some more classic Jovi tunes in straight acoustic format is my suggestion.
Coming next year is a career-spanning box set of unreleased and rare material.

In further Jovi news, Jon Bon Jovi has been talking to the Arena Football League (AFL) about starting an expansion franchise in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Bon Jovi's partners in the enterprise may include former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski and local businessman Craig Spencer. AFL officials say they've had interest from several people wanting to bring a team to Philadelphia, but they didn't say when they would make a decision. The league plans to add two teams a season for the next three years.
Arena Football is an indoor version of regular football, played on a shorter field and generally more high-scoring than its stadium counterpart.

Bed Of Roses is written as a walz.

Though all that was written there was information I already knew.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Now, I'm getting curious about this album. Now, that I think of it, BTBMB could work as a waltz.
