Would accoustic version of Prayer be a commercial success??

Inspired by the post about which singles may get released from TLFR.

So if it was released with a video, would it get any airplay and be a hit??

Id be optimistic and say it would, becos its such a well known song, I think people would buy it.

Bon Jovi have never been number 1 in the uk charts. They got to number 2 with Always and number 5 with Everyday (they may have of had other top 5 singles but off the top of my head they are the two i can recall at the moment).
Now prayer is such a world wide known song that is played all the time at partys, wedding receptions etc that it is the sort of song that could be re worked and brought out to the public again that it would be a sucess and go to number 1 here in the u.k.
So yes if it were to be brought out IMO it would be HUGE :D

I could imagine that it would be a success. Sumer of 69 of Bryan Adams was quite a success as a single here, too. And both songs are quite known that's why you can compare the situations.

I think it could make it quite well!

Right now im confused :?

Why is it then at Wembley 95, Jon said to the crowd "we've just heard that These Days has just kicked micheal jackson of the number 1 spot" :?:

It may of been the album charts. Bon Jovi have NEVER had a uk number 1. They thought Everyday was going to be the one to make it and at the half week point it was in the number 1 position but sales got slower as the week went on and it came in at number 5.

Yeah, because I think they've had number 1 albums, but not singles in the UK.

Oh rite, misunderstanding then. I thought he meant These Days, the single

I think it would do well commercially. Prayer is such a well known song that everyone would be curious to hear the "new" version of it. And once they heard how much heart the song has, I think it would be a success. On the other hand, many people have already heard the acoustic version already and it may not sound as fresh and new as was hoped.

Also think about this. It would add fuel to the fire for the Bon Jovi haters. Think of how satisfying it would be to them to tell everyone that Bon Jovi are has beens who are trying to go back and milk one of their biggest hits just to keep afloat. We know that's not true, but I can just hear it now.

KYT!

it could be a success, but i see no point in releasing a different version of their old songs....same goes with acoustic album, i wouldnt want them re releasing IML acoustic, no mater how good itll be....id rather they release new stuff.
