How Long Jon Bon Jovi Will Be Able To..

HI everyone i just wonder for how many years yet jon bon jovi will be able to sing live (with no semi-ton or tone down)their hits like prayer or always.he is my favourite of all time obviously but he is human so i think very soon bon jovi should re -arrange (as they do on the new album) some song fot lettin' jon sing decentely........

Well, they semi-tone down already, plus Jon doesn't sing the high parts on Prayer anymore. He also complains about the high bits whenever they play Always so in answer to your question....I have no idea!

Maybe the new versions will be how the old classics are to be played live in future?

At the Kiel show also they played Livin' in Sin in C# (D plus the usual semitone down) instead of playing it in the correct key of E. So that makes it 3 semitones lower than it should be played!!

Also he didn't try to do any difficult adlibbing or any of the demanding parts from the studio version either.

I think the problem with the age is the number of concerts they play during a tour.
Maybe in the future they're gonna play only 40/50 dates per tour with a couple of days off between a concert and the next one and one month between a leg and the other.
I'm afraid he could never reach the quality of the These days tour again but if he will be able to dose his voice I think he can go on for 15 years singin very well

If Mick Jagger can do it im sure Jon Can. Maybe he wont be as good as he was at his peak, but im sure he'll still be a very good live singer for many years to come.

If:

Bruce Dickinson
Glenn Hughes
Ian Gillan
Paul Rodgers
Joe Cocker
Southside Johnny
Bruce Springsteen
David Coverdale
Graham Bonnet

can still do it there's no reason why Jon can't. Especially when Deep Purple basically toured non-stop from 1995-present day with little gaps in between.

And BJ DO NOT do long tours at all, and usually we're talking 3 in a week at most, occasionally 4, and its not like they are travelling from show to show 1000s of kms in a tour bus, nor do they do soundchecks anymore so it shouldn't really take its toll.

In fairness Mick Jagger is not a good singer anyway, and never was spectacular... just unique.

God knows that's true.
