Was Crush really a good come back album?
After Bon Jovi had a break in the 80s/90s they came back with a good album, Keep The Faith, and then after These Days was released Bon Jovi took a break for 5years, my question is: was Crush really a good comeback album?

KTF was a better comeback album

I think it was a good come back album because they got many new fans and everybody knows It's My Life... But I don't like it that much (though it's also very great - everything they did is great!) and Keep The Faith was better. :?

Crush wasn't a comeback. At least not here in Europe, maybe in the USA where These Days and Keep the faith weren't that successfull as well as the solo-albums. So if you mean the USA I would say yes it was, with Crush they came into the spotlight in America again. Here it was just a continue of their career.

Crush was the first Bon Jovi album I heard, so I had nothing to compare it to. It is my favourite Bon Jovi album, so I can't answer too well to your question, but I think their writing style has obviously changed as they've grown older, and more experienced.
It can't have done too badly; didn't it go multi-platinum? lol |

They may have had individual sucess this side of the Atlantic but that doesnt mean it was sucessful for the band. |

It was a "comeback" album in that respect, but it's not like they split up and then re-formed or anything. |
I think Crush was a comeback album, but not in the same sense as KTF. Crush gave Bon Jovi an entirely new audience. It's My Life put them back in the mainstream/public eye. I was one of the fans who found Bon Jovi through Crush. I cannot remember Bon Jovi before this time. With KTF, I think people were waiting to see if the band would release another album. Between New Jersey and KTF, solo albums were released and people wondered if this was the end. So when KTF came out, it was a big thing. Not so much with Crush. Maybe older fans were just expecting Bon Jovi to release a new album :?

I'd say it was a brief spark in popularity but they have never made a true comeback since Crossraods & These Days, when they were as popular here as during SWW. |
