'Dallas sucks' guitar?
 

I have seen a couple of pictures of Jon playing a black guitar that underneath says 'Dallas Sucks' - is this some football thing or what does it mean?

I saw it too. No idea why though.

Yup almost certain its to do with the dallas cowboys

I'm pretty sure it has to do with American football. The Dallas Cowboys are the rivals of the New York Giants, the team that Jon supports.

As far as I know Jon lost a bet and had to stick this sticker on his guitar.

Mike, Dallas is in America so he for sure means an American football team and not a Chinese one or whatever.

He didn't loose a bet. There was a girl with the bumper sticker at one of his acoustic gigs in 1997. He saw the sticker and said, "Hey, I want that!" so she gave it to him and he put it on his guitar. I have another interview from the past couple of years where the same girl got to talk to him and told him she was the one who gave him the sticker so he thanked her for it again. Now if he was sporting a sticker that said "Dallas Is Awesome," you could assume he'd lost a bet (or hit his head ;) ).

in the interviews for the souls he always says he hates the Dallas Cowboys so sure he meant them (maybe DAllas is awesome means the city *g* just to make sure they know it`s only about football and he doesn`t hate the city)
