How personal is "Rosie" to Richie do you think?

The fact Richie wanted this on his solo album suggests the majority of the song was written by him. He wanted an old demo to go on his pride and joy (his solo album).

Do you think Richie had some personal connection to this song do you think the character Rosie might have been someone who meant a lot to Richie in the past, from one of his bad relationships?

I have a live version of this song where he said something like "I'm gonna tell you a story about a girl that I knew from New Jersey... She was a bitch. She was the worst kind of a bitch cause she was a go-go dancer..."

But I always thought that the song was on the album because it's more BJ-like so BJ fans would have something that sounds a bit familiar :?:

The song was demoed for Jersey and written by JBJ, RS and Desmond Child. I'm not sure if it's all that personal.

i'm sure that it's credited solely to jon on the album. there's one song he definetely wrote all of and im sure its rosie so it can tbe too personal and either way, if he did write it with jon and des chilkd then it cant be too personal either

D. Child basicly was for fitting the words on the music. The storylines are mostly written by Jon and or Richie, but D. Child was for fitting the words on the music. Jon admitted that once that D. Child had some sort of touch for that.

Didnt she write that song which featured on Patch Adams sung by Rod Stewert, Faith of the Heart?

Russell Watson sings it now, its a damn fine song

I once read that the Rosie story really has happened, but not to him and her name wasn't Rosie and so on...

Diane Warren is amazing, by the way. :D
