 you what??? they kick ass! :P yeah well their last album wasnt a flop but wasnt too loved, well was by me  never seen em live but would love to as the bootlegs i have RULE! |
I still like them too, but I thought their mass-popularity was over. Maybe they sold out that fast cause it is in Seattle.
I cannot believe, I am out of tickets  |
not big into Pearl Jam...didn't they tour last year? i wanted to see them just to say that i had, but i didn't!
Black is a great song though! also, so is Alive...and Evenflow...hmm...*pulls up the mp3 collection* |
The symphony hall seats about 2000 people. Tickets were sold out in 3 freaking minutes??????
breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out...... Sure they come around every so often, but I am very picky about the venue and seats. They played Bumbershoot a couple of years back, by I don't want to deal with all that outside hassle (Seattle rain after all). 3 freakin minutes?!?!? |
literally, 3 minutes????
BTW, i like your sig!!! |
I'm sorry you missed out on the tickets. :(
I saw them earlier this year. They may not be as popular as they used to be but they are still awesome! :D |

I wonder if I go to the Benaroya Hall directly, but by the time I get off work and get downtown, I am sure they are gone too. I might call though. Bummer. Quote:

THIS SUCKS!!
Obviously this happens with every concert, but I've never personally experienced it like this. I call Benaroya Hall and the lady tells me only the first 6 people got tickets. Ticketmaster was out of tickets within a couple of minutes. Ok, the Hall is small, only about 2000 souls, but still, people in line should get tickets right? Well, I get on www.nwtickets.com and a couple of other online brokers. Sure enought, they still have tickets available. FOR $1,105????????????? WTF?????? Ok, next level up, $910, $845 and so forth. So, those brokers have the in and get a whole bunch of tickets beforehand, right, just so they can sell a $40 ticket for a grand???? That ain't right! The band doesn't get more money, it's the broker rakin in. This pisses me off. breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, br........... |

Don't cha just hate it when you're standin' in line and you hear that all the good seats are sold, I recently had that with Bowie tickets and it pissed me off. Big Time.

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!!
I LOVE my company (or is it our/their company???)!!!! Someone that works for this company just sent out an email offering one (1) Pearl Jam ticket to the highest bidder. The difference between what he paid and what he'll get will be donated to the same benefit the concert is for (what a guy) - matched by our company. I had to put in my bid at $150 - cannot really go any higher, I know I won't get it. There are some seriously wealthy people working here :( He put in the following disclaimer - too funny: Disclaimer Note: I will be sitting next to you at the concert. Nerdy accounting/tax/treasury types need not apply. What happens at the show stays at the show. This is not an auction for a private date with johndoe (name change to protect anonymity), which I am certain would bring in proceeds far in excess of any PJ ticket. I will not receive physical custody of the tickets until Thursday; if any unforeseen event precludes that from happening then this auction will be cancelled. Wish me luck!!! |

im just fed up with like punks...that are like 12 and they run around with nirvana hoodies on after hearing smells like..and its just stoopid   |

So, I am with you on that. However, I am not 12 anymore and am quite jaded when it comes to rockstars, I might be extremely fascinated by Cobain, but I sure as heck don't think he was almighty. Don't take it too well being classed in the same group as the 12 year olds ;) |

for a start you seem to have much more class  :D :!: |

ha ha, im a charmer most days...maybe you havnt been on JT long enough  or has joey lost his mojo? :P |
Day Two of bidding and we are at $1,000!!!!!
Mind you this is just a regular shmoe who'll donate the entire proceeds to the same youth foundation the benefits concert is for. As a side note, since the seat of the ticket for auction is next to the guys selling it, I thought it might be worth checking out where his office is and, you know, get a glimpse of what I'm missing - or not. Or not is right. So, I do feel a little better ;) Anybody else care or think this is quite something, or am I posting this for my benefit only? |
