Backstage Fan Club Over???
 

I didn't hear it myself, but now have had three people tell me that Mrs Bongiovi (Jon's mom) said in chat the other night that it's time to retire the fan club and she's thinking of ending it at the end of 2004.

Anyone else hear this? :roll:

Wouldnt surprise me the attitude of bon jovi fans these days is getting a bit ridiculous. :(

And do you really think a big moneymaking issue would end?? Come on..lets face the truth..making profit is one of the fanclubtargets.

I doubt about it, but it will only be a good and a bad thing, The good thing will be that there won't be any wristbands anymore which will mean every fan is equal at the entrance. The bad thing will be that backstagejbj.com will be closed and all those damn people will start posting over here complaining about what we've done etc.

I doubt it will be shut, as every band has a fan club, no matter how good or crap.

It wont shut as all they are interested in is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

When she is truly on there, the moderator puts her name in the moderator box.

She said recently that SHE will stop running the fanclub. Originally she already handed it over a few years back to Matthew for some time. But she couldn't stop it and came back. She for sure never ends the fanclub as long as it runs that good and she earns so much money. But she is not young anymore and wants to give it to someone else.

That's what she said according to other people who met her in the Chat. And this makes sense. I don't know how old she is but with a 41 year old son she is for sure 70 or even older.

The people told me that "all good things must come to an end"...that she was not open to another person running it...that she was clear on that point. They said everyone was volunteering to help, and she thought it was sweet and they wanted her to take some rest and some time off to think about it. They told her to do less herslef...get others to help and pay others to help more even if it means raising dues...and she said it's not about the money.

Guess we'll see at end of 2004.

Was the fan club better this year or stayed the same as other concert years?

She could have had him when she was 22 and that would make her 63 :?

I don't like the sound of this coupled with hellmans suggestion BJ will bag it in a couple of years :cry: though I really couldn't care less about what happens to the fanclub :?
