Guitar players...need August 7 4.15 (acoustic) tab plz!...
hi all!
I have this song on the Midnight in Chelsea CD single, and would really love to play the picking pattern (don't know technical name!) for it. I know that it follows the general chords for the song (Em, D and C for most of it apart from the chorus) but need to know the pattern... Can anybody help? i know that Em bit at the start goes: -----------0----------- ---------0--0-------- -------0------0------- ---------------------- ----------------------- ---0------------------- but that's really not much at all, LOL! please help! many thanks :-) Shona |
Its Em, D Cadd9. I will post the tab later when I have the time.
|
--------0-----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------0-------3------3------------------------------------------------------ ------------0---2------0---0----------------------------------------------------- -----2--------0------2---------------------------------------------------------- ---2----------------3----------------------------------------------------------- -0------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If my memory serves me correct, that is how it is played. |
I tabbed it out a while ago and it goes something like this. I think it's pretty close.
Code:
A Dsus2 Asus4/D Asus4 |
I have the Japanese Destination Anywhere guitar tab book and it is definitely Em, D, Cadd9, so the highlighted part cannot be right:
............from here> [---------] <to here............................. |-------0------------------------------0------------------------| |----------0---0-----3-------3------------0---0-----3-------3---| |-----0------0---2-2-------2---2-----0------0---2-2-------2---2-| |---2------------0-----0-0---------2------------0-----0-0-------| |----------------------3------------------------------3---------| |-0------------------------------0------------------------------| |
I don't think Cadd9 sounds even close. But if that's what your book tells you then maybe I'm wrong and you're right. I still think I'm right though. But don't start a fight with me I'm not from the US...

At the time of the Cadd9 chord, I would play the second fret on the d string, and the open g string, rather than the 2nd on the g and the open d.

thanks to both of you, i'll print this out and try to adapt it for my beginner level :-)
