Bah - instinct. I don't think they can give us a thought. Great for dinner though

no, crabs will have the sense to realise that we are walking forwards. the fact that their head is facing in an opposite direction to the way the are walking should be enough for them.

U can't argue with Dr Who:

Telos Publications Ltd. have announced details of their forthcoming Doctor Who novella, Shell Shock by Simon A. Forward.

The Doctor is washed up - literally - on an alien beach with only intelligent crabs and a madman for company.

How To Care For Land Hermit Crabs
The land hermit crab makes a wonderful pet. It is friendly, intelligent, odour free and very clean. This crab has evolved to live on land and uses an empty shell as a portable home, as well as for protection. Remember, it is a land animal and must not be kept in water.

U can't argue with a crab pet website either.... :?

yeah, but compared to a crab, that is a sideways way of doing things....

i see your point but i still think they have the intelligence to realise something just isn't right compared to all the other animals.

Why do they keep doing it? Maybe it can be compared to us driving on the left of the road. Everyone else drives on the wrong side 8)
