I have Animal Planet on at the moment and there's a documentary on about a pride of lions. I've just seen the alpha male being injured and then dying because of his injuries, his female's cubs being killed by some other lions who want to take over. Her frantically looking for her cubs and being attacked by another lioness.. what's with this documentary?? Are they out to depress me and how can those cameramen just film this and not do anything?? I know it has to be realistic, but this is just ridiculous!!! I hate seeing these kinds of things...

It's kind of like watching a bloody train wreck!!! Now the lioness has died... what the f*ck!!!!!

I think they are both beautiful creatures and they are just big cats, I love watching them. I've had lion cubs playing on my lap once, 6 weeks old and absolutely adorable, had to control myself not to steal them! But I don't love them the same way I do cats, but I basically love all animals..

Because its a cruel world sometimes. :( But just remember they only show the bad stuff on programmes like that. Watch the lion king instead :D

I know... I just don't want to see the lions dying.. :( not violently anyway.
