hi everyone i was wondering if anyone knows anything about alestair crowley? i only know a little about him, that he was very controversial, tried to start his own religion, he moved to an island with his followers and had lots of sex and drugs, and was called a satanist and the media were all saying he was the most evil man on earth. i was thinking about him cos i read an article on him that was written by an artist who was doing a project or exhibition or something about him, and this artist was saying actually he wasnt the most evil dude on earth cos at the same time there were people like hitler and stalin who were more evil. they killed millions of ppl but alestair crowley never killed anyone. and this artist was saying he isnt really as evil as people say he is.
personally after hearing the artists argument i can understand what the artist means cos if he didnt kill or torture ppl, but just stayed on an island with some other pot-smokers, then he doesnt exactly sound all that dangerous and "evil", maybe mad but at least he wasnt killing millions or starting wars.
so wot does every1 else think?

i'm pretty sure he was the guy that wrote the satanic bible or whatever it was called.

dont know much about him a guy i went to college with that was into all that stuff said he really just used it as an excuse to do alot of drugs and shag birds that followed him.
