Canabis

I was taking my dog Toby for a walk yesturday and iwalked pasted 2 boys smoking canabis and it smelt soo good and it got me thinking should it still be banned?
For:-
It makes you feel so good
It's good for people in pain, like cancer sufers
You can think clearly once you have had one

Against:-
Doctors say that it can rot your brain
Could lead onto harder drugs, which is bad
Can leave you depressed

What do you think?

It's safer than alcohol. I'm for it. Alcohol is more dangerous and that's allowed.

I don't think that is physically possible

I would rather smoke than drink. No hangovers. Less calories. Lot less violence - less women getting beat up....... etc. etc. etc.

My dad deals with ppl that have been f****d up thru cannabis use. It causes many cannibis users to become delinquents, causes mental problems & also many ppl to move on to harder drugs.

It costs the state millions.

It is certainly NOT safe. However it is fun.

There is a certain hypocrisy over how it is dealt with compared to alcohol - but anyone that says it has harmless is wrong.

It is not true that people who smoke cannabis will go on to harder drugs, that is a fallacy. If that was the case nearly the whole population of Holland would be on heroin. Cannabis is a soft drug and has a less harmful effect than alcohol. If monitored there is no problem whatsoever.

I think it is as harmless as alcohol or nicotine or even sex. To blame weed on being delinquent doesn't cut it for me :?

Can it be abused? Sure. Do most users abuse it? I don't think so.

Mike, what does your Dad do?

Sorry to barge in, but it's cannabis. With two N's and an I...

It is true that a lot of ppl that start with cannabis will go on to harder drugs. there is a lot of research to prove this, coupled with the fact that a great many ppl who do use hard drugs also use cannabis on a regular basis. A lot of it depends on environment etc.... but I have first hand experience of this (not me personally but ppl I used to live with).

As a matter of fact. One could blame alcohol as the entrance to other harder drugs. After all, most canabis users probably had alcohol before they even used canabis....

I watched a tv program 2 years ago and it said that Holland has a bad drug problem, is this not true then?
